Korean tractor dilemma

   / Korean tractor dilemma #301
Its just starting to leak again from where they cleaned it up. It was leaking enough to leave a puddle on my floor. The hst is a sealed pressurized unit any leak is a no go. Dealer is completely inept, Ls does not stand behind their product. Your thought process cracks me up, thinking like that and being a push over is why these companies get away with what they do. If i dont get an answere here soon, i am seriously thinking about loading it on a trailer and droping it on the ls hq door steps. Yes i am that petty
Have you determined exactly where the the leak is coming from???

Heck, it could be a bad o'ring on a boss fitting, slightly loose hydraulic connection.... anything.

What reservoir is low on oil???

So what happens when you drop it on their doorstep and you get another brand that leaks or has other issues?

Been busy, its hunting season. Finally got around to putting dye in the fluid. Yeup took all of 1hr of run time to find the leak. Its the hst input shaft seal. Bottom up the pump is soaked in fluid, bell housing has a valley in the casting that has to fill before it starts dripping out the weep hole. So nothing has hit the ground yet in the 1hour of run time.

That being said, i refuse to take it back to the dealer i took it to. As they damaged my tractor , did a half azz job on the oil pan and " could not find a leak " for the hst. The other local ls dealer is booked way out on work. So its listed for sale and i will use it till it sells and or completely blows the seal out.

I got ahold of ls about this whole ordeal, showed them the photos of the damage the shotty work and the leaking pump... they could care less and offered zero help. Ohwell lost a future customer and will steer every one away from them

And this was called a lot of weeks and pages ago
I think you have answered your question
The other unanswered question
So what happens when you drop it on their doorstep and you get another brand that leaks or has other issues?

This is unfortunate, I feel bad for you. I don't understand the guys on here acting like this is operator-induced. Not much you can do to create this kind of issue.

I recommend Yanmar, they are a better buy for the $$ than either Kubota or JD. That is if you have a Yanmar dealer nearby.

A very long post with a outcome that is unfortunate another manufacturer don't really care and move on to the next person. We can only try to make the best decisions when we purchase our equipment. Not saying the OP did not do that, but he definitely got hosed by the dealer.

That’s dealer sounds awful and completely inept. Issues with anything can happen, it’s how you are treated and making it right is what matters.

I put 50 hours on mine first season last year and no issues. I gave it a good workout. lost one of the sway bar nuts on the 3 point due to me not noticing or checking if it was tight while mowing with a rear finish mower. Dealer just gave me a new one free.

Right before I took it in for the 50 hour service I noticed a front lug nut had loosened up so I left it to see if they’d notice. All lugs torqued back down. I dropped it off at 10am on a wed and it was ready to pick up 10am the next day.

I was thinking the same thing. Sounds to me like the problem sounds more like an inept dealer than anything having to do with Korean tractors.

BTW, the difference in loader lift is likely just advertising B.S. If the loader and the tractor weigh the same, they will perform so close to the same as makes no real difference.

As for the loader control valve, it can be mounted anywhere. Good ones cost twice as much as cheap ones and work much better.
