Jay,

I think u will take a big hit selling just the FEL & if and when u ever decide to sell the tractor without a FEL another hit. Depending on the length of your driveway u may want to consider a 3 pt snowblower for about $1500. Downside u have to back up, given all the snow we have in NJ lately this may not be a problem.

Also the 2nd u sell the FEL u will wish u did not!

Excellent points. The resale thing is something I didn't think about. I'm gonna get a front mount. My driveway is a tad over 500'. I guess I'm gonna have to bite the bullet.

Thanks Tom. And thanks to Seymour Bota (great name) for the install time estimates.

As much as I love watching the Tigers whoop the Yankees, I have to agree with NY Jankees Fan. You will regret selling the loader. Better to save your pennies and keep looking for a used BX2750. They do come up from time to time.

I hope Nate Robertson brought his A game tonight. Another well timed error by A Rod wouldn't hurt either.

I know it's premature, but I'm trying to budget for a front snowblower for my BX 2230 and I was hoping some of you fine folks know a thing or two about them.

1) Approximate cost (manual versus hydraulic).

The 2750 is more than a rear mount because you have to buy the hydraulic lift. I am in Canada so there is no point in comparing. Especially since Kubota Canada never reflected for a moment on the strengthening of the Canadian dollar.

2) How long to install the quick hitch? Can it stay on while I cut grass with a 54" mid-mower in the summer?

Its actually pretty quick and easier than one would think. One short PTO shaft between the blower and the hitch is easiest and a long shaft between the Mid PTO, which would have to come off if you left the lift on on for summer. I cut my grass with a 60" a few times this year with the hitch still installed as I had planned to move the snowblower to another storage spot for winter . Besides the fact that it leaked down and I took a chunk out of my lawn at the incline to the driveway as its hydraulics were disconnected because I had the loader on (Oh yeah...you can do that, too:D ) and, say you had the sweeper...or a blade, you would want it on with only the inconvenience wit a sweeper of removing the MMM and connecting the long PTO shaft to use the sweeper.

3) How long does it take to attach/detach the snowblower?

Again, a short PTO shaft between the lift to the blower and a long one behind it from the Mid PTO to the rearward side of the hitch are the largest obstacles, but it is really user friendly.

4) Are their other brands of PTO driven snowblowers that will work well with my tractor?

I have no idea!

Thanks.

Dont sell the loader, dont buy a rear blower. If you must, buy a front blade and get by with it until you can raise enough $$ for the front blower. Kubotas blowers have come a long way. I purchased a 2650 in 2002 and was very pleased with it. I now have a 2782 for my B3030 (63") i expect it to blow through anything! RED SOX UP BY 5. ITS OUR YEAR AGAIN!

Nice video. Although it seems like there was a layer of snow still on the ground AFTER your wife went over it. Was it not down as low as it should have or is that how it comes out?

I'm going to wait until October to buy the 2750.

My latest plan is to sell the loader to offset the cost of the snowblower. I really haven't used it much. However, a couple of people I've spoken to said that it's going to be hard to find a buyer for the loader because I'll need to keep the valves for the snowblower meaning the buyer will have to provide their own valves for the LA 211 FEL. You think there's any market for it?

I might be interested in your loader if you are still considering selling it. I have a BX2230 with the snowbloser setup, so a loader without the valves is exactly what I need.

Do you have a price in mind?
