Kubota BX2360
Hi Everyone,

I would like to put a Woods BH6000 Backhoe on my BX2360, but I cannot find the sub frame for this tractor on Woods website. Before I call Woods, I was wondering if anyone out here has a 2360 with this backhoe on it? Has anyone run into this before?

Thanks,
Bruce

Bacfin, I went way down this rabbit hole last year looking to put a Woods BH on my former BX1860. They didn't list a subframe for the BX1860 either and I couldn't get any help from Woods to tell me if the subframe for the BX1850, which the did have, would work. I went as far as getting parts manuals for the BX1850 and BX1860 and compared the relevant frame part numbers and found out there were no differences so I was convinced the Woods subframe would work. I also found out Woods provides the same subframe for the BX1850 and 2350 with a few different brackets where it bolts to the FEL stanchions depending on which loader model you have. So, even though I decided to trade out for a BX25, I was convinced the subframe would fit my BX1860. I just didn't like that Woods wasn't going to officially sell me a subframe for my specific model.

Here's a thread where I believe I discussed my dilemma.

Chris,

Thanks for all that home work you did! How do you like the BX25? Have you had a chance to use the BH yet? The snow is pretty much gone now and the ground is softer.

I ended up calling Woods and talked to Bob in the engineering department and he looked up and found that the sub frame for the 2660 is the same for the 2360. So it looks like this will work after all. Now it's time to find the best prices.

Did you ever get a shipping cost from that distributor in Michigan? He seems to have the best price anywhere. I will have to buy the sub frame separate though as that was not included.

Thanks and congrats on your new tractor

I sent Woods an email yesterday and I have not recieved a responce. I am looking at the cost of renting a mini X and I stunned. $1000/week or $250/day.

Personnally I am hoping that Chris will being willing to help me move some dirt for some quality seat time, beer and pizza.

Bacfin, love the BX25, but that's not to say I wouldn't have loved my Bx1860 with the Woods hoe. I am finding lots of uses for the backhoe so far and have lots of plans for it going forward. I am rebuilding a stone wall where a lot of the stones have fallen and been buried of decades of organic debris. And I just excavated for a small retaining wall near our patio.

The price I got from the Michigan dealer (Rosseel's Farm - they advertise on ebay) was about $5,400 shipped to CT with the sub-frame and about $5,700-$5,800 with the Woods thumb added in. If you order from them, they will order the correct sub-frame for your tractor. Since the SF price varies by tractor model, they don't include it in the quote. That price was all in, hoe, sub-frame, hydraulic connections and swivel seat mechanism. If you haven't seen their e-bay ad, here's a link.

If you feel comfortable doing the installation yourself, they had the best price I could find. If you need it installed for you, you'll have to work with a local dealer. If you go for it, I'd love to see how it works our for you even though I went the BX25 route.

Kevin, you obviously haven't seen my BH operator skills in action. I might make more of a mess than you already have

Chris, I called Rosseel's and they quoted the subframe at 925.00! Does that sound right? I'm not sure what it includes, but I will ask them when they call back with the shipping costs. I will be putting this together myself, maybe a buddy or 2 and pizza/beer, but I will probably have plenty of on lookers (beer suckers :licking:) too. I'll have them take pictures as I go along.

Did you ever need to look into the ROPS bar height? I am 6 feet tall and might have a problem with this. Maybe I can get a folding BX25 replacement bar depending on the cost. Come to think of it I don't even know if it be replaced.

Kevin, forget the email method...the phone is way better!

Now, which hat do I wear...Kubota or Woods?

When I was shopping for a BH6000 to go on my BX2200, I received quotes as low as $5000 installed to $8000 uninstalled. The best price was my local Kubota dealer. He told me that the more volume a business does with Woods, the lower the wholesale prices Woods charges, and that also, a high enough volume enables free shipping. I went with him, obviously. This was 3 or 4 years ago.

I am 5' 10" and the original ROPS has never been a problem.

Bacfin, I would look around some more. They should not be pricing the bh and the subframe separately; they normally come together as a package. You also need hydraulic stuff and the swivel for modifying the seat.

before you purchase the woods BH, go back to your kubota dealer and ask about trade to a BX25. chances are you will save a wad of cash over a woods add on BH by the time all is said and done.

Hi Tom,

I was quoted 3750 for the backhoe and 925 for the subframe. My take is they use the same hoe with many different subframes and that was the reason for the two prices. All the prices in this area are high. My local dealer wants 7000 for both the backhoe and subframe uninstalled. I have 2 more dealers to call within an hour of me.

I think the seat conversion is part of the subframe kit and the hydraulics are part of backhoe kit, but I will double check. Good to know the ROPS should not be an issue.

Thanks,
