Is there a way to "lock" my MMM in the up position so I can use the 3pt hitch without raising/lowering the deck at the same time?

on my 1800 the height known had a TOP setting on it

As per chucko, there is a way. Raise your deck all the way to the up position and hold it here a bit and you should then be able to rotate the knob to TOP and it will stay in the raised position while you use the 3PH.

It is hit or miss on my bx24 with moving to locked...PITA at times.

/ Kubota BX24 MMM Question #5
well- its not a hit of miss.. since its a one way turn, I just slow down when I approach number 4 cutting height and click one at a time. never miss this way.

Sorry, your method does not work. It gets to the #4 and that is it, no click one time..

My old bx22 never had an issue, this one grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr.

There are some other threads on here dealing with this with suggestions on adjusting the lift linkage. I had to have it done on my 2200.

You need to adjust the MMM linkage. The lift rod for the MMM connects to the top left (from behind) 3PH lift arm - just inside the top of the left rear wheel. There's a threaded bolt with a lock nut on it. Loosen the locknut (the inside nut), then adjust the threaded bolt so the MMM lifts a little higher. Done!

Had this issue on my old BX1860.

Funny, I just replaced the linkage today since it broke. I will have to adj and or try the hold the deck up tomorrow. See if that works since today the "top" did not work! grrrrr

Mine was the same way and I couldn't adjust it far enough in the back. What was going on was the mower deck stops were holding the mower deck arm from going up high enough to turn the knob to top only to #4. If you adjust the deck lift arms adjusters only turn a little at at a time and raise 3pt again all the way up then try. Each time you adjust the bolts you should raise the 3pt I didn't do that and now the deck doesn't hit the stops so I well have to readjust, it bangs a little now or maybe I can try taking it up in the back now,
I'll see.

/ Kubota BX24 MMM Question #14
Bit of a bump... I'm researching this system for the umpteenth time...
I have a BX23, but it seems this system is basically common to all.

Radioman, where do you learn the direction for turning? I suspected such (because of the way mine works) but can not find anything that says one way or a turn arrow symbol. Based on what I can tell of the little ratchet action, it should be different but not wrong to go either way.

I bought a tractor that had not had a mower on it. I have adjusted my systems to book 3 or 4 times, only to continue symptoms. I can see an egg or figure 8 shaped motion in the knob as I raise the deck, and 'Top' slips in somewhat lower than 3 /12 as weird as that sounds. My knob-shaft does have left-right, front-rear play. I'm at the conclusion either the lateral shaft follower is bent and hitting the cam wrong, or the cam or shaft is wrong (though unworn before me). Seems like in addition to steps there is something (support?) on side of step cam. Anyone similar?

THX all!

/ Kubota BX24 MMM Question #15
You need to take a look at the but that is supposed to be tack welded on. mine broke off, but I couldnt turn to get into the top position. The only way for you to check everything is the take deck off, and left tire off. Be sure you got stands under the left axle. Then you should inspect the linkage, shaft, movement, etc .
