Buying Advice Kubota new L3560 grand

What are your dislikes on the 60 series. I also like the new location of the fuel tank, which will make it far easier to fill.

The complex, mechanical "bucket level" indicator is highly vulnerable in woods work. I bent mine and broke one piece the first day. It has been taken off and is wrapped up in the garage, for fe-installation at time of eventual sale.

The "bucket level" indicator should be an electronic display on the dash.

I second your 'like' for the new location of the fuel tank and lower position of the fill tube opening. Fueling requires much less effort to hold the fuel can.

jeff9366. How does the regenerate cycle act on the Tier 4 L60 tractors? Does it stop the tractor or can you continue with your work and regen later? lt190b

my l3560 has never had to regenerate yet. i was told by the dealer you activate the switch at startup and go about your day, you do not have to stop what you are doing.I love the tractor.

The only nuisance about a regen is if the regen starts and you are nearly done working you should not shut it off until the regen is complete. I have one large tractor with a DPF and it is not at all difficult to work around that. In exchange I get no soot and no diesel smell which are really noticeable when moving between our 5 tractors with the L5740 being by far the worst.

Regne gauge moved over to 100% at 60 hours. Then I had about 2 more hours of work time before mandatory regen time arrived.

In theory, you can leave regen in AUTO and it will clean as you work, but the RPMs have to be higher than I use so it never cycled as I worked. Also, the Operator's Manual warns that during regen exhaust gets very hot, so I initiated the regen cycle in my driveway. Regen took sixteen minutes at tractor set 2,200 RPM.

jeff9366, thank you and everyone else for the replys. What kind of work with the tractor do you do that doesnt require high enough rpm to regen? If you used your tractor at pto speed (or above the 2200 rpm) for longer than the sixteen minutes, it doesnt need a regen cycle? lt190b

I do mostly clearing and maintenance of Florida JUNGLE in the common area of a 300 acre, large lot, residential development. I need to be very cautious about potential fires.

I do not know how many RPMs will allow regen in AUTO mode when one is normally operating the tractor. It may or may not be 2,200 RPM, which is the speed the tractor selects for parked regen.

I will update this post in the future.

I am closing in on 400 hours on my L3560.

The only two minor problems I have had are 1) The plastic escutcheon in the center of the steering wheel keeps popping off. I have recently anchored escutcheon with caulk and I hope it will stay put. 2) Dealer has had some difficulty adjusting the optional Draft Control. Dealer has a new mechanic who has never worked on Draft Control and this is my first tractor equipped with Draft Control so I am not much help. Hopefully it will get adjusted properly at the next scheduled service. I only plow occasionally, and my plow is a Trip Plow, so this is a minor problem but I like everything to operate properly, especially after paying $500 for the Draft Control option.

The pin adjustable Lower Link stabilizers and telescoping Lower Links really simplify implement mounting. I will never own another tractor without both these features.

The various features associated with the HST Plus transmission are wonderful but you quickly adjust to them and forget they are operating----- until you get on a standard tractor again.

I have the optional L2296 Heavy Duty, Round-Back bucket on my FEL. This is 100 pounds heavier than the standard bucket. I do a lot of tree work with my tractor and I like the evident additional strength when I am pushing on trees. L2296 comes with SSQA standard.

Regeneration works fine. I have always regenerated in my driveway. It takes about 16 minutes to perform the regeneration cycle. Time varies just a little with air temperature.

How does a trip bottom pull plow utilize any sort of draft control? My understanding of draft control is when the plow is mounted to the 3 point hitch.
