Kubota product design on some models just sux!

So you bought an economy MX instead of a full featured Grand L and somehow it is Kubota痴 fault?

They need a way to differentiate the product lines I guess. Yes most of these would be nice to have in all machines. For the pedal we will have to disagree there. I love my HST+ pedal and would not be interested in having 2 separate ones. Most people that hate the rocker pedal are using it like a rocker. Don稚. take your foot off forward and press it on reverse, vice versa. it really does feel like 2 pedals to me.

I would add arm rests to the mx seat. It makes using the loader a lot more comfortable.

I've bought my first and only tractor 2 years ago, L3301 and haven't had the need of a tilt steering wheel or two pedal forward/backward design.

My only issue is the lack of protection for the two hydraulic filters. I've smashed both while working in the woods and had to buy a protection pan for both.

Pretty sure farm type tractors are NOT designed for use in the woods. Don’t recall ever seeing a brochure or ad for such machines depicting such activity.

I agree that Kubota makes great products.

  • I suspect that Kubota's design engineers are reluctant to make design changes for current models (1) for cost reasons, and (2) because of pride and rigidity.
  • I think the hydro rocker is "Mickey Mouse", but to each it's own. If they cared to do market research and found it was costing them sales, it would change to a 2 pedal type.
  • For the life of me, I don't know why telescoping 3 pt stabilizers and extendable arms aren't Standard on all Models and Brands (the cost of materials is negligible)

I would have been fine with that except the salesman never told me that. In fact he could have gotten to buy a bigger tractor had he just pointed out the clearance underneath and the lack of protection.

And I don't see why Kubota couldn't offer a forest package of some sort for these compact tractors.

Because if they did 7/8ths of those that would benefit would not pay for the option.

Thank you. I think you have finally answered the question of why the rocker design instead of the two pedals.
The rocker may/may not be the design that everyone prefers, but one thing is for sure. With the rocker you CANNOT hit Forward & Reverse at the same time. And maybe that's the point.

A rocker also makes it much harder to accidentally hit reverse when you want forward and forward when you want reverse.

Because if they did 7/8ths of those that would benefit would not pay for the option.
And they would probably come on here to complain that that option is not standard across the entire line.
