kubota snowblowers

I have your model on my 2910. Have used it for 3 years to maintain about a mile of private, communal road and our driveway. I live in Montana and mostly get powder although we have a couple of wet dumps each year.

Our roads are gravel and my biggest complaint is how much rocks I pick up. I do have the skids extended to max. But rocks will migrate in the snow upwards even with a good snow base. A potato sized rock will jam everything and shear a bolt. I go through plenty of shear bolts every season.

Other than the pain of changing shear bolts, the blower has performed very well. I have enough power to take big bites of even packed snow to move snow banks.

If you are clearing gravel roads, I strongly suggest you mark alignment marks on your rotating blade shaft shear bolt holes and the non revolving collar attached to the interior shaft. When you shear a bolt, your vision is obscured by the grease inside the shaft and it is quite a pain to align everything since it always happens at the worst times and the worst conditions.
Alignment marks make it much easier. I started out with paint but ended up using a file and then covered the raw steel with paint.

You will like your blower. It is well made. Be sure to keep your chain adjusted as it will loosen up during your first season. /forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif

Well, I got to use the snow blower for the first time! /forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif Man, am I impressed! /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif did it ever throw the snow! /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif I was worried that the chute diameter was a tad narrow, but I guess that's what makes it throw the snow so far! I had about 6" of heavy wet snow and ice, and the blower just ate it up and chucked it out! /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif The electric chute worked great, allowing me to control any blowback into my face. The only problem was that I was done too fast /forums/images/graemlins/smirk.gif just not enough seat time. /forums/images/graemlins/smirk.gif

If you want more seat time, go clear the lawn. /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif

Re: Kubota snowblowers

Thanks for the picture, and I know that I have probably asked the question before, but what brand is the snow blower, where is it manufactured, and cost if you don't mind. Likes, dislikes, options, etc..... My dealer has said that Kubota is sold out of snowblowers for the BX for the season. thanks

Re: Kubota snowblowers

There are a bunch of snowblowers sitting at Wescott's in Gorham Maine. They are made in Canada. Model 2750 is the Bota designation.

Re: Kubota snowblowers

that is a bx2750 the only problem I had was connecting the front drive shaft. kind of tight for my hands. I got rid of the safty shields and solved the problem.

Re: Kubota snowblowers

I know I sound like a broken record but if you remove the shields you and or anyone around the machine needs to be supercareful. Watch for rope, wire, loose clothing or anything else that can get wound up in the unit.
There are a lot of folks who are missing parts and pieces of their body because they got tangled up in a PTO shaft.

I used my snowblower for the first time today and I am Impressed. That thing will flog the snow up higher than the power lines. It will also handle small stones, grass and sand very well. /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif
