3-Point Hitch L-series Jerky 3PH - Jeff's homebrew repair.

might be down the road when the tractor case cracks or breaks from the force of a heavy implement jerking around on the hitch

Hasnt happened yet that I am aware of. And I have quite a few hard hours on a 1100 lb bushhog and a 700lb rear blade. Which is probably heavier tha 99.9% of other L3400/3800 owners out there:D

It's really not that big of a problem.

I think you mean it's not a problem on your tractor. From your posts I would say that you got a good one.
There are plenty out there that don't work half as good as yours. I tested a few that were jumping all over the place.

Hope you are right. I recall a thread or review where a owner of a recent L3800 did break the case where the hitch attaches. He said Kubota did nothing for him

Mine isn't jerky. If mine was as bad as some have said, it would have gone back to the dealer ASAP. To be fixed or traded!

Are you having trouble with yours?

True Bill, but I've followed this for a while and have seen many posts from other L3800 owners with no problem. There are some bad ones out there, just how many we don't know...

just read on another forum that according to an insider, the jerky 3 point hitch problem has been noticed by Kubota and is a topic at high level meetings

just read that John Deere is discussing in high level meetings how much they can save if their tractor pistons and crankshafts are made of plastic. Just like their tractor's hoods and fenders, the change can be further marketed as parts that will never rust ! ....................I'm sorry, of course I'm kidding!
