L2800 "standard" tractor - 3 point hitch videos

Hey guys, question from a newbie, I'm getting ready to pull the trigger on the purchase of a new L3240HSTC. Does any body know if this tractor has the "infinite positioning" valve or the the "inch valve". The shuddering in the vids is terrible! I plan on doing a fair amount of work with a box scraper and smooth rear hydro operation is paramount.

From everything I've read the GL valve is buttery smooth. Only the economy tractors (sorry guys) have the jerky problem. The L3240FST is the tractor I have my eye on. I think you'll be very happy.

Yea all the Grand L series tractors position control are butter smooth and are externaly built unlike my L2800. They also have greater capacities.

The inching valve is only a feature on the economy series L2800/L3400 Kubotas. I don't believe that the economy L4400 has this either. I recently tried the Kioti CK30 and DK35 and neither of them sufferred from this problem either.

Thanks for the replies guys:D

IMHO Kubota should remedy a fix to any customer who has the jumpy operation of the 3 point hitch. It's just not acceptable:eek:

Rebel - you must have meant to say "Kubota should provide an "upgraded" 3 pt valve for these "economy" tractors"

I have looked and looked but can't seem to find the description in the "Owners Manual" or my bill of sale , of the tractor being a "Economy" tractor .
I did find this :
"You are now a proud owner of a Kubota Tractor . This tractor is a product of Kubota quality engineering and manufacturing . It is made of fine materials and under rigid quality control system ."

Must have skipped the last part on the L series .

Anyways here is the video of another shaker .
Video of Kubota jerking - Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting
At first the tractor is idling then I revved it up some and put the seat down to show how it jerks the operator around and I put the lowering valve in and out all the way also .
Sorry for no sound it is in a .asf (G.726 sound codec) video format , old camera .

Well I tried this on my lowly L 2500, 1999 version. No frills tractor, gear tranny and no hst (it does however have electric start). Definately not jerky.

Good Luck,
Rob

The jerking in the video is unbelievable. I think it's ridiculous anyone would consider this normal operation, your dealer or Kubota included.

The really sad part of this is that I still think that overall these are great tractors. Early models of everything have the odd bug that gets worked out. Overall I am still of the opinion that these are pretty dang good tractors.

The issue isn't so much the valve as it is how Kubota has handled it with the "economy tractor" rhetoric, arrogance and the inconsistency of how it has been handled across dealers and geographies.

Making customers who have just spent tens of thousands on your product feel like they ended up with lower quality because they were cheapskates is hardly good business practise - it's moronic because the overall quality of this tractor is great. Failures appear to be rare and isolated.

One can look at other tractors / brands and see far more serious problems being reported on early models.

Overall Kubota makes great products across its lines.
