L3240 block heater installation

Was looking at purchasing a block heater for the tractor how easy are they to install and where on my tractor dose it install just need some general instructions on how to do it talked with kubota dealer yesterday and they said they had them in stock so looking to do this over the holiday thanks for your help

Not sure if it has changed but on the L3130 that is the previous model it was just forward of the starter on the left hand side freeze plug. Drained radiator into bucket, knocked freeze plug loose with hit from screwdriver making sure it did not go in, put thread locker on the heater and drove in with hammer and socket refilled.

I've been thinking about adding a block heater to my 5240. If anyone has pictures of the location of the heater in the block that would be great.

I put one in the the lower radiator hose and it works like a charm, and simple to do. Here's a link if you're interested in going that route. Good luck !!

The block heater for the L3240 goes on the left side of the engine. The heater for the L5240 goes on the right hand side. See the attached instructions.

Hi Lockman,

Not sure why you are not seeing the instructions. They show up as an attachment on my screen and I was able to download them from the post. The instruction sheet covers eight zillion Kubotas, including the L3240.
