L3800 sick?

Sounds crazy but I had a grader blade in the back of mine. When I set the height all the way up to lift it it took all the power from moving. Lowered the handle and tractor takes off. My lift needs to be adjusted for that. Same with my snow blower on the back. Lift all the way up and kills power to transmission. Other than that I agree with fuel filter and call dealer. Mark

The bleeder knob is a small round gray knob just above the injector pump make sure it is closed (clockwise).. There is no fuel shut off valve on that particular model. I am not sure what the problem is but it sounds like fuel starvation.

Found it. Bleed it like the book said; open the bleeder knob, crank the tractor, run for 30 seconds, shut off and turn off the
bleeder knob. !st I did it cold, didn't work. Next I tried it with the engine warmed up. Worked great for about 3 trips. Old power
was back, no hesitation at all, rpm loss going up hill was like 2300 down to 2000. Then it bogged down again. Got off, opened
the valve, started and let run 30 seconds, shut down and closed the valve. Worked great again and was still running great when
I had to quit due to one heck of a thunderstorm that came up. (I'm clearing land. Each trip consists of me dragging 1000 to 1500
pounds of brush and logs about a 1/4 mile to an old strip pit hole where I'm dumping it) That pretty well narrows it down for
me. If it continues to bog down but clears up after I bleed the system, it's sucking air into the system somehow. It may be
cured but if not, I know what to tell the Mechanic when he gets here or I take it in. It sure felt good to have the old power back
in my 3800. I tightened the bowl as tight as it would go. It did turn a 1/4 to 3/8 inch.
May be a few more days before I get a chance to work with it again. Wife has me putting up a green house for her. That's going
to take several days doing it by myself. I'll let everyone know what happens when I do get to work with it again. Hopefully that
last bleeding done it. Sure would be nice if it did. Just have to wait and see.

PC is BS. I use bold lettering cause I can see it better. Pure and simple. No one has ever accused me of being PC and no one ever
will.
Apologies to everyone else for the rant, but I am so sick of people wearing their feelings on their sleeve and demanding that
everyone else live their life to suit them. Again, it pure BS as far as I'm concerned. I spent 41 years not counting Vietnam putting
my life on the line 24/7/365 and I don't apologize or change for anyone.

Recoveryhill (politely) mentioned the Bold text... that has Nothing to do with PC, it is pretty much an All forum standard. Don't use it or cap locks always on. The backwards logic that it is easier for You to read, is a weak excuse, You should know what you have already said... those responding to you are Not using Bold, but yet you seem to be able to see.
Most folks complaining about having to comply with PC, usually have problems complying with SC, (societal correctness)...

Disconnect your hoses from the filter housing, clean the ports with compressed air and install a new filter. Unless your filling your tractor up straight from the pump you could be adding all kinds of trash into your fuel system. Have seen it many times.
