L4300 DT won't start

I hadn't used my L4300 DT in a month or two when I went in to start it up recently. When I put in the key and turned it, the dash lights came on for a brief second and then everything went dead as though the battery was dead. But if it was, the lights wouldn't have come on at first, so I'm thinking a fuse somewhere, right? But I checked all (5? 6?) fuses in the fuse panel on the left side and all look intact. Are there others somewhere I'm missing, and/or something else I should check?

Sounds like possibly a bad/dead battery ,battery connections. or bad frame ground connection. a lot of times the connection will be good enough for low amperage lights to come on,but as you go to start on the key switch the higher amperage draw will break the poor connection and everything will go dead. Sometimes the lights will come back on sometimes they wont.I would first hook some jumper cables up and see what that does.If that doesn't produce any result then check the battery connections,battery ground connection at the frame. Rule out the obvious first.
