Hey guys, first post on this great forum.
I’m looking at a 2013 L5360 (about 400 hours) to replace/upgrade from my B2920. I noticed some sealant around the oil pan in the rear and rear end itself (please see pics). Is this normal or was this machine taken apart before? Should I be concerned? Thank you for you thoughts.

Honestly, I don't like buying used to begin with, but that has obviously been opened up for a reason. And that would scare me.

I should add that the salesman assured me that it hasn’t been apart. He called the original and only owner who claimed it hasn’t had any previous issues and was definitely not messed with. I have a good long term relationship with this salesman.

I can't say, but I know none of my Kubota's came from the factory with sealant oozing out like that.

I'd say keep looking. But sad part is there is not a lot available out there and they are all grossly over priced right now.

My L4060 came with sealant around most transmission case joints, but they were all painted over at the factory during manufacture. Good, bad, or indifferent, that machine has been opened up for something.

looks awefully rusty for 400 hrs. (snow removal??) the cover underneath probably came off to add or remove the mid PTO. A crappy job of sealing but not too much of a problem. as for the rear axle cases. they really do look like they were removed and resealed. perhaps to play with the PTO clutch. check the PTO clutch engagement pressure.

The salesman may not be the problem here. I would hope a dealer would not let a machine out of their shop with that much sealant oozing out of the flanges. seems like maybe the original owner is lying about what work the tractor has had done and by who.

don't get discouraged, It took me 2 years to find my cream puff. be patient.
