I like the offset flail mower and considered getting one of those but my concern was that the tractor cab would have to go through the branches, etc. before the mower and those branches would be dragging across the cab windows. If the fence lines were maintained often, that might not be an issue.

The Maschio flail will definitely be an issue with a cab tractor. It does work quite well in reverse but that means more looking backward. I'm going to have to do some serious trimming with the pole saw to make the cab tractor work.

Thanks for the additional info on the Kubota air seat. I have some hesitation with putting my existing Grammer on the new tractor. It's a vinyl covered model meant for an open station tractor and not as comfortable as the fabric covering on the cab seats.

bdhsfz6;5896917 I also don't know if the optional $888 Kubota air seat is as good as the Grammar air ride I have now. Does the Kubota air seat swivel like the OEM?[/QUOTE said:
Funny... the optional OEM Kubota air ride seat is a Grammar. It doesn't swivel. I'm happy with mine in my L4060. Got it to save my bad back from the get go, so not really sure how it compares to the default seat.

Yes, the optional Kubota air ride seat is made by Grammer. That Kubota part was not available when I bought my L6060 HST so the dealer ordered one directly from Grammer. I don't know if it is the same seat or not. I'm hoping it is since I like the Grammer I have now.

I have the standard vinyl suspension seat (springs) on a L5460 open station and it works well for me. I weigh about 200 lbs. and I dont bottom out. The swivel is helpful but really by much.

Last month, when the dealer placed my order for the L6060 HSTC, with cab, he was told by Kubota there was a 2 month backlog. Luckily, he found one at a dealership in a nearby state who was willing to part with it. The tractor arrived at the dealer yesterday and I got my first view from inside the cab. This raised another question.

Not only does the roof of the cab block the view of the FEL at full height but the cab also prevents viewing the FEL at ground level. This makes it difficult to align the FEL QA when installing an implement or viewing your fork tips. Normally, I would stand up on the deck of the open station tractor (Yes, I bypassed the operator presence safety switch) and get a clear view of the QA & implement or forks. Obviously, this isn't possible with a cab so how do you "cabbies" perform this maneuver? Hopefully, it doesn't involve getting on and off the tractor multiple times.

The dealer had an M7060 on the showroom floor that had a camera system installed which gave a clear view of both the FEL and 3 PT hitch. There was no camera option available for the L6060 so can anyone recommend a good aftermarket camera or other work around for this blind spot problem?

Wow! Surprised to hear this. In both aspects of operation. Are you a tall person?

Grabbing my bucket or pallet forks on my cabbed L4060 can be annoying, but isn't that bad. I put paint marks on both sides of the SSQA connector out towards the edges. I can line those up pretty easily. My smaller open station L3200 was a bit easier, but mostly due to the smaller hood rather than the lack of cab.

I can't see the bucket/forks well at max height due to the cab. I'm rarely lifting to max height though. Even more rarely doing it in a precision manner.

I wouldn't trade my cab for better visibility.

You guys are killing me. At 42 and a new plow being put on my tractor, I知 already discreetly looking for a cab model.

I'm shorter than you and just lean forward to see the loader at full height, which I hardly ever do.

My Massey loader arms were wider than the L6060 and when I first got the Kubota I had a hard time lining up the SSQA with the attachments but have now adjusted the way I do it and no longer have an issue connecting implements to the loader. I just look between the loader arm and the hood as I approach the implement and can usually get things lined up pretty good that way.

I have never been able to the ends of the pallet forks on any of the tractors I've owned and still find this annoying. On my skidsteer I can clearly see the front of the pallet forks and every bucket I put on it. I usually stand up in the cab and lean forward as far as possible when using the pallet forks and still have a hard time seeing the ends. Maybe I should look into getting a front mount camera for the tractor.

I absolutely love the cab and will never go back to an open station. I look for work to do with this tractor, especially in the winter. Nothing like wearing a T shirt while I'm plowing snow and watching my neighbor all bundled up and freezing on his open station tractor. Did that for many years and that makes me appreciate the cab even more.
