Lack of response from Kioti on loader repair program

I don't even honestly even know what a Kioti really is, but Mr. Wallace sure impresses me as a dealer. If all their dealers are like him, I suspect that I will see one of these tractors in the future. With service like what Mr. Wallace provides, they certainly can't be a bad tractor. Sorry if I shouldn't post about something I have no knowledge about, but I'm impressed with Mr. Wallace's generous offers to help owners of that brand. :)

Don't be sorry at all. When a dealer (no matter what brand of tractor) performs exceptional service, they should be recognized. I have been impressed with all the Kioti dealers on here. Great job everyone!!

The new cover may be an excellent solution and resolve all the twisting/cracking or it may just hide the cracks.

I presume the engineers have done their main job and insured that the new cover/brace will reduce the twisting that caused cracks in the first place. However, I am still wondering about the wisdom of not repairing existing cracks. They may not be structurally important at this point but what about after 5-10 years of rusting (as the cracks are neither primed nor painted). Those of us who live near the ocean should be particularly concerned about the potential for these cracks serving as spots where rust could gain foothold. Although I haven't seen the new cover in place, it looks like it may conveniently hide the old cracks which means it would be hard to monitor any rusting too.

If a welding repair is not needed for structural reasons, is there any sense in soldering or brazing some metal into these cracks just to form a rust barrier? I don't see how paint could get into the cracks sufficiently to simply do that unless we open up the cracks and expose fresh metal.

I am researching the purchase of a new tractor and was considering a Kioti, this info has raised some doubts.

That is understandable that you feel this way but I hope that you will keep an open mind on which ever color you choose and rember sometimes it is not always about color or price.

It is about known that someone will be there when you have a problem and yes every color has its share of problems.

I know first hand I deal with over 15 brands.

So please do your research and choose a friend not just a dealer.

From what I've read over the last few years, Wallace is a great dealer and certainly an asset for Kioti. If I lived in the area, I may not be giving you the following advice. My Kioti experience might have been enjoyable. BUT:

If you search for DK55 or KL1595 and read the posts, you will see that this is not the first loader issue Kioti has had. I purchased a DK55 with KL1595 Loader. The tractor had wiring issues and the loader rollback was pathetic. You can read all about the issues if you like. Search for nobaddays posts on his front end that kept breaking.

Having said that, it is "my opinion" that you would be foolish to spend money on a Kioti tractor. I will NEVER purchase a Kioti product again. Buy a reputable brand that stands behind their product without all this BS.

I could go on for days, but that would only get me flamed. If you read many posts in the Kioti forum, your decision should be easy.

I called my dealer Thursday to see about them getting my tractor in for the repair. My last experience with Kioti warranty work was horrible. A synchronizer went on Labor Day weekend in 2004. The tractor was picked up the Tuesday after and it wasn't fixed and back home until the first week of Nov. It took 8 weeks to get the parts and another week to get them in. Based on this I figure I may have the tractor fixed by the April 30th deadline. I really like the tractor, however Kioti customer service has a LONG way to go and I doubt I'd suggest to anyone they should buy one based on this.

What purpose does his message serve? Just go buy another brand. Why do people feel the need to let us know these things? Buy yourself another brand and good luck to ya. Posts such as that have one purpose and as usual, Wallace responded with sensibility and class.
