Lack of response from Kioti on loader repair program

Wallace thanks for this important data. Kioti came through on this finally. Looks like my CK20 loader is in the batch of serial numbers mentioned. As stated earlier one wonders if it would be better to bring the mechanic to the tractor instead of the tractor to the mecahnic. I wonder if there have ever been any actual failutes after all this? Thanks agian for the information.

Could you try to snap some pics, so that other members will know what's going to be added? I don't see how a "bolt on fix" is going to solve this, but with pictures it mght ease a lot of peoples mind.

edit.......I see a pic has been posted in another thread

Thats ridiculous. Unacceptable. What's wrong with these ********?

Making a sucker outta their customers is generally not good for business.

SO irritating.

I came within 1700 pounds of getting a CK30 ... love that machine .. but I would be way pissed. And as usual, they assume that noone has ever bought a Kioti in the used market or bought a new one and moved to a different region.

grrrrrrr

I have been a way for a while but a bunch of people really jumped on DAP for his comment. While maybe somewhat out of line I have to agree with him. While the manufacture probably does not pay travel costs we are not talking about an occassionaly failure here. This is on everyone of the loaders for the most part. I think Kioti should come to the plate and pay the travel expenses. They messed up.

Another person said no one pays travel and if they do hope they will be in business for long. That is the type of dealer I look for and will pay extra for that type of service. Them are the dealers that stay in business as far as I am concerned. My NH under warranty was picked up and brought back on two occassions under warranty and to this day I don't have a bill for it. On two occassions minor things they told me, leave the tractor out front, we will come fix it during the day. That's 22 miles one way for them. Now after warranty the charge me $50.00 to come get it and bring back for my oil changes and maintenance items. That is cheaper than I can load it or pay for the gas.

I also look at Highbeam. Did they not try and fix his loader once and made a mess of it that looked like some 5 year old welded it up?? How are they going to handle his?? I am not saying anything bad about the product but I personally think Kioti took advantage of their customers.

Going back to the major fix/recall. I own a heating and air conditioning company and the product I handle does not pay any labor or travel expenses unless they have a major recall in which they then pay the travel and the repair cost.

just my opinion thats all

Highbeam, I think, has been promised a replacement loader by Kioti. Don't know if he is going to get one of the new designs or if he will get older stock with the modification. I imagine he will let us know when it happens. Soon I hope as he has been waiting for almost a year for final resolution on repair/replacement of his cracked KL130.

Yes, Kioti has promised to make this right for me by replacing the part. Obviously, my situation is unique with the dealer applied hack job. I have as recently as yesterday renewed communications with Kioti to restart the process. One sided thus far but it's only lunch time in SC.

The new cover may be an excellent solution and resolve all the twisting/cracking or it may just hide the cracks. I'll have to see one in person and hear from the dealers as to their impressions.

The question that comes to my mind is, are they going to replace parts/or/repair the existing crack(s) prior to bolting on the fix? (Islandtractor) appear to have a rather large crack. How will the "Bolt" on stablize this and prevent further damage? Now applying the "Bolt" on to a (New) or (Not Damaged) unit would seem to be an acceptable repair. Just my thoughts.

The letter stated that the ........."modification bolts on the tractor and our engineers have determined that no welding is necessary"..........

I wonder if these are the same engineers that engineered and designed the loader in the first place.... just wondering.

As far as warranty transportation cost, I just went through this with mine, JD. A sensor adjustment required a $400+ roundtrip transportation cost to dealer (dealer to provide, but stated that price may be higher if truck meets traffic congestion). Instead, I opted to buy the service manual (at $100) and fix the tractor myself. It was the lesser of two evils.
