mlevendo, what did you pay for your 48" LP?

BlacknTan, what size is the unit you paid $990 for?

Thanks,
Tom

I bought my 48" GS15 early last summer for around $970.00. Seemed a bit spendy for a bunch of metal with no moving parts but now that I have used it, I would say it is well worth it for the time it has saved me and the ease of maintaining my driveway.

For you guys wanting to buy a road grader, why not build one? I built one for $600 back in 2006. And I built it to the spec's of my tractor (TC48DA 48 horse power).

Below are a few pictures of a driveway that I did for a customer. My grader weighs about 1200 lbs. So cutting grass out of the center of a driveway is not a problem. Since building my grader, I've made several thousand dollars with it. I also use a hydraulic top link. That allows me to change the front cutting blade angle and how much it will scrap off the top of the driveway.

The Gearmore states the blades adjust from 1" to 1.5" below the panels. With a minimum depth of 1" that is a pretty aggressive blade setting. For general maintenance I have my front blade set at about 1/4 to 3/8 and the rear is level with the side panels. I only set it deeper if I am trying to get to the bottom of large pot hole or rut.
The Befco is almost identical to the Land Pride I have. Adjustments sound like the same specs as the Land Pride. I'd be interested in the price deifference of the two.

The Gearmore states the blades adjust from 1" to 1.5" below the panels.

And then immediately after that in parenthesis it says (preset at 1/4"). Whomever wrote that is not being clear.

The Befco looks identical to the LP, except that the smallest size of LP is 4' while smallest size of Befco is 5'.
