Quick Hitches Land Pride Quick Hitch

I just can't imagine there has been 110 replies to this thread. It's a QA not a tractor or space ship. I paid $85.00 three years ago and never were concerned with Cat1, Cat2, or Cat3, or bushings. It fit. Does the job. Gets greased along with the tractor and other equipment. And it's simply a QA.

DeltaHook I thought the Land pride QH20 CAT 2 was expensive @$700. Holy smokes it's more than twice the price and the ones shown are not even clevis style. I've looked at the speeco and landpride they do not share the same design or at least they didn't. Most of the speeco stuff ive seen is made in China not sure if the QH was or not

Xring;

The Delta Hook receiver plates adapt to individual pins or clevis style. The lower link connects slide laterally and have several holes to adjust vertically. They have tons of flexibility. I am surprised other companies have not copied. DH must have strong patents and defend them. It is SO easy to hookup, especially non PTO implements. It's really just seconds, back up, raise your 3 point, and go. We have hydraulic upper link which makes it even faster. The HUL real benefit is when dropping your implement. We park bush hog, box blade, etc. on blocks, on concrete so they are aligned and level to start or end with.

Well worth the $$$ IMHO.

OK. The LP QH15 is not absolutely identical to the Speeco E-Hitch that New Holland markets. The latch handles are clearly different. But they are both Cat I hitches that accept Cat II lower implement pins, offer an optional swivel link for implements with flex links built into the toplink mount (standard on the Speeco E-Hitch). Both weigh 70-75 lbs. THe Speeco unit is rated for 50 HP and it is doubtful that anyone would rate the Landpride QH15 much over that. http://www.landpride.com/ari/attach/lp/public/lit/lit_qh15.pdf SpeeCo Inc. Farming accessories and tools, log splitters, post hole diggers and custom manufacturing. Anyone interested can compaer the specs, weights, and whatever else that is published about these units by poking around the manufacturer's websites.

We have the TSC version (copy) of this one. 160 lbs. and as previously noted, installed it with Kubota FEL and lift slings. Goes to say, not interested in routinely removing it for no reason.

The Speeco has cat 1 hooks and is not the same as a Land Pride QH. Just got back from Rural King and seen the Speeco for 119.95 in person. The Land Pride has Cat 3 hooks.

Speeco Cat I hitches at the local farm supply have Cat III hooks and come with a pair of the Cat I to III big-end adapters.

If you have a Cat II QH, it's not a copy of either of the Cat I's I mentioned. A true Cat II will be wider and taller than a Cat I. There's more to the difference than lift pin diameter.

Very good information Matt. Thanks for posting and clearing the air. I totally agree with LP's logic about pin fit. It appears Murph has the same setup and he confirmed yesterday that his QH definitely has CAT III hooks. I wonder how many other manufacturers of QH's do this?? I'm guessing not many. I think all of the Chinese made CAT I QHs are CAT II hooks.

Good stuff guys, thanks for posting all the info. It'll definitely help others purchasing QHs to decide what they need.

Not true my HF quick hitch has cat 3 hooks also.

Obviously the more we discuss this, the more differences come to light. Now it even appears that companies like Speeco offer different QHs, even though they are the same category.

Our local Farm Supply store stocks Speeco. I checked out the CAT I QH. They are very well built and heavy. Nothing cheap about them at all. They come with a Top Link adapter and roll pin CAT I to CAT II bushings for the lowers. The lowers are CAT II.

So now I'm more confused than ever. AND,,, I still don't know who makes Speeco's QH or LP's for that matter???

I'm beginning to think everyone is importing them. The differences are simple contracted specification requests.

If ordering one, sight unseen, I'd want to know the lower hook size. I'd also want to know the weight of the product. Those two things will give you an idea of the durability that you are buying. Otherwise,,, who knows what you'll get.

FYI
My HF quick hitch has a top link hook about 1 1/4 inches and the bottom hooks are about 1 1/2 inches

Yea the only thing I have found on the HF QH that needed attention was the top hook. It needed extended so that it would reach the top pin (bolt, sleeve) so I did this

That isn't mine that is someone else's but mine looked just the same of course I didn't take a picture.
