It's just a matter of taking it easy and steady on the gas with the tiller. I have a 55 inch Kioti tiller on my ck20 hst thats 18-19 pto horse, maybe less. I only use it at around 1200 rpm, 2800 rpm equals 540 pto rpm. Any faster and the tines would be a blurr. It doesn't lug down and makes a nice job. It's the rocks that can make slow work of it. When using it in reverse I have to keep an eye on the tiller depth and keep making small adjustments as I move or it will dig down to China otherwise.
