Glad to see you have some decent size equipment for the job.
I hired a guy a few years back that had a 24" chipper.
that thing can eat some wood.
A little 12" chipper would probably double the manual work.
Have Fun.
If you don't mind bigger chips try a 60" wide chipper

Ran one of those last year clearing 12 acres. I clear and reclaim a couple decent sized overgrown areas every year.
Nice to see the land come back into view or producing hay again….

So a fire would freak out the horses but a wood chipper screaming for several days won’t? And rotting wood releases the same gasses that burning would just slower.
Look man, it wasnt my call.
Besides, if I burned it, I’d be out a decent size winter job.
The more “natural” or “organic” customers go, the better it is for me.

Whew! thats a lot of work. Beautiful place though. Wouldn't mind if that was my office.
Yes, its an area of extreme wealth. I consider myself VERY lucky to have these people as clients. They own several large tracts of land inside and outside the US. The neighboring horse farm is owned by a world renowned personality.

I know it wasn’t your decision. I’m just laughing at the customer.

What they paid me is petty cash to them. These are extremely wealthy, generous people.
I am “different” when it comes to the trending view of wealthy people. I am thankful for them and wouldnt be where I am without them. Wealthy people spend money and create jobs.
This customer in particular is very generous, trusting and conscientious.

Ahhh if 1/3 of this country understood thankfulness over envy.

Ain’t that the truth.
Jealousy and envy create so much hate.
The hatred and resentment towards the super wealthy never ceases to amaze me, but those who publicly display their rage always seem to have a big following.

Hay Dude,
I presume you checked but does anyone in your area rent whole tree chippers? The ones I have seen have an indeed table where you basically dump the tree on the table with your loader or an excavator grapple and the machine does the rest. These are usually in the 250 - 400 HP range for a tow behind unit. I would think something like that could save you a lot of time in feeding the beast but then I could also be 110% wrong.

Having chipped some much smaller piles in my younger years I feel your pain and understand the satisfaction of seeing what your hard work has accomplished.

I did just that. There’s one you can rent. Has steel tracks, a live table, 21“ capacity 325 HP. Has a jockey box on the side and a grapple arm. You grasp junk and feed the live table. Completely self contained one man one machine does it all.
$6,000 per week + $750 to drop it off and $750 to pick it up. I considered it, but came to the conclusion it was probably a bit much for this job. Also, we wanted all the chips in 1 or 2 piles.
