The problem I see with the Simms cabs is they're really, really expensive for what you get. The Laurin is only a little more expensive when optioned out, but of significantly higher quality from what I can tell, so seems to be a much better value than the Simms.
The Curtis cabs are much more reasonably priced, and constructed similarly to the Simms. The issue for me is that when I was looking last year, Curtis did not have a model for my machine, but for the amount of time I'd want a cab, I'd much rather buy a lesser priced Curtis. If Curtis never bothers to develop one for my machine (and they may not due to the factory cab option), then I may end up with a Laurin at some point.
I really hate plowing snow during a 2 or 3 day snow event with the temps at 10* or lower.
Anyway, a Curtis cab could be optioned out at a significantly lighter weight for a BX if you only really wanted it for winter use, and should be much easier to remove doors/panels for summer use.
