Yes, you were right on the older 8N Ford. I was using it for testing and moving it around in the shop. Without live hydraulics was a big disadvantage on moving it with the PTO hooked up. I had to unhook the PTO shaft to raise it and move it. And then our first test series, I used the Ford tractor, and like I mentioned earlier, Just to put grooves in the ground I was able to travel at 3 mph. Yes, you can slow the tractor speed down enough to run the machine, and do a good job. It doesn't seem to take much horse power since you are just cutting straight and shallow grooves in the ground.
I measured the distance between the tangs(teeth) - 1 5/8". Yugo
