Hello! I'm new here I farm about 1400 acres with my 2 sons and we run all vintage John Deere equipment 4230-4650 series plus 1 articulated 8640 that we repowered with a Cummins Kinze,( best money I ever spent) and the oldest we own is a 1010 tracked loader. And the newest machine is a 9550 combine. We do all our own motor work and the local dealer dose the trans work ( we've had very little trans work) Not a primitive Pete as far as tecnology goes because I use GPS and auto steer But do not like computers controling my engine and hydraulic functions. Have fixed and repaired a lot of stuff over the years One son use to work as a John Deere Service Tech. Really into Tractor pulling but never had the opertunity to participate, really like the art of generating the huge power out of farm tractor engines!
