2004 Kioti CK20HST
/forums/images/graemlins/confused.gifI just purchased one at an auction. What type of oil does the gearcase use? How do you adjust it for your tractor. It has alot of adjuting holes on the top. I have a Kioti CK20.

Was the auction at Macffadens?

Get an owners manual and read, read, read. You don't want to become a post in the Safety Forum because you made a mistake.

I bought a Leinbach 7300 from a dealer on this forum. It came without any documentation. /forums/images/graemlins/mad.gif So I called Leinbach. They were very nice on the phone and sent me a manual the next day.

The gearbox takes 90W gear oil.

jgold:.......I have a Leinbach PHD on my B2710 (about the size of your
Kioti) and I used the first or nearest adjustment hole towards the tractor.
At this adjustment the bottom of the auger is about 6-8" above ground
level when in transport. .....RayBee

I have a 2710 also. I also have a Leinbach 7200-JR. I CANNOT get the thing adjusted correctly. I am using the lower top link hole AND I have tried every possible location on the bar to get it off the ground. The ONLY way I am able to get the PHD off the ground is by turning the adjustable arm link control all the way up (and then of course the hole would be crooked.) I saw the attachment. Can't figure out what you are doing that I am not doing. Can you please provide a little more detail on the way you have your PHD attached to the 3 point hitch?

Thanks so much,

greg

I am running mine on a JD790, and I had to have holes drilled 1.5" above the stock holes in the forks from the lift arms to get it off the ground.

Greg; .... I went to my storage barn to re-aquaint myself with my PHD
& found that mine was an L-7200 not a 7200-JR. /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif I don't know
if that is significant or not.
My previous Post showed the PHD the only time it was used by my B2710.
I previously used it on a TO-30 Ferguson. The B2710 did a great job.

Since the BH is nearly always mounted on the rear of my tractor, I can't speak too confidently about what you might be doing differently with regards to the 3 PTH , except to check that your lift quadrant adjustment allows a full lift and not stopping short of the top. I also previously said that the auger was 6-8" above the ground when lifted, ...but it's more like 4-5".

Another difference that could come into play , is a taller auger than mine,(mine is 46" tall ).
I don't recall which of the two B2710 top link holes I used, but I think the bottom one is the logical choice.
Look at the following pix to see if you can spot any difference in the model I have vs. yours. /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif ....RayBee

Sorry for the poor quality of the pix ....The PHD is suspended from the
ceiling and surrounded by ...STUFF /forums/images/graemlins/blush.gif & hard to photo /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Thanks for the pictures. Mine is a 7200 JR. Not exactly sure what the differences may be between the 2 of them. I have tried mine in both the top and bottom holes (of the top link). I "think' my next step is to get an adjustable link for the left hand side and just raise them up as far as possible. Or, see if I can drill a hole further out on the link as suggested by someone else. Any other suggestions are appreciated.

Thanks for your time,

greg

RayBee,

You mentioned adjusting the "lift quadrant'. Can you provide a little more info for me. I have tried adjusting everything I can see that should be adjusted and it still doesn't seem to make a difference. I went and measured my augers. They are 46" also. My "boom pole' looks a little different then yours. I wonder if it is shorter. That would account for a lower lift IF my thinking is correct. My "boom pole" is 66.5" from the end of the top link attachment to the swivel point. The model number on mine is a L7200-JR. I'll reckon a guess that the boom poles are different sizes (lengths)

Greg: .....I measured my boom pole @ 74" from the top link connector
to the swivel. This could definately be your problem. /forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif

I also measured (14 1/2") from bottom link pins Centerline ....to the bracket bolt on the spine of boom (in the rearmost hole). For your reference.

The lift quadrant ie. /forums/images/graemlins/blush.gif /forums/images/graemlins/blush.gif ( Hydraulic position control on right fender).
/forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif Good luck ....RayBee

Good news. Thanks to RayBees suggestion, I went out and poked around the tractor some more last night. I found a lift adjustment near the lift arms on the right hand side of the tractor (as you are looking at the tractor from behind) It is under the seat area. Mine (a Kubota 2710) had 2 nuts on it. I "observed" the lift arm mechanism and realized I might could make it raise higher by adjusting these nuts. I adjusted them down and my PHD now clears the ground /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif Very cool. Thanks for your patience RayBee. I was afraid I had bought a very expensive piece of equipment for nothing. Now it appears I have a useful tool.

Thanks again,

greg

Greg; ...... I'm happy for you! /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

Now be safe with that PHD, ......a lot could go wrong, and quickly if you
don't stay focused. /forums/images/graemlins/shocked.gif

Good luck with the B2710. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif ....Ray
