Kubota B3030
Well, I managed to destroy the back of my B3030 yesterday. I bought a trailer mover from ASC.
ASC # 59513 Trailer Mover
I hooked it up and used it with no problems until I put the three point in the full up position. The toplink rotated up so far as to cave in the back of the tractor and push the sheet metal in to the seat! New rule #1 for me.

#1: Always check new implements for clearance in all positions!

Another lesson I learned recently regarding Kubota's sliding stabilizers. I bought a new grader blade and had the dealer install the rear remotes and TnT. After using it for a short while I noticed one of the sliding stablizers was bent. I was able to straighten it. The next time I hooked up the blade I tried to figure why it bent. The nearest thing I can guess is the stabilizer must have been under a compression load. Unlike a turnbuckle with a chain link, the sliding stabilizers can be set to be under a compression load. New rule #2.

#2: Make sure the sliding stabilizers can only be put under a tension load!

Sorry to hear of your troubles, Brian.

I just bought a 3 pt spreader. Took the drawbar off to avoid a similar conflict.

I've got sliding stabilizers, too. Based on your experience I believe I need to figure out the "sliding" position in the middle, so it acts more like chains.

BTW, I couldn't count the number of rigid stabilizers our old Massey destroyed.

Those are the lessons that stick with you, too bad they are so painful to learn!

You're not the only one to do such things. I lifted my posthole digger too high a pushed the SMV triangle and metal bracket into the fuel tank on my Mahindra. I was lucky the tank is plastic and popped back out. Now I set the sliding stops on the lever to prevent doing it again.

There is one thing to be thankful for...no meat got pinched. It could have been worse.

Someone's signature says something like "Good judgement comes from experience. Experience comes from bad judgement." No truer words have ever been spoken.

We've all done it...don't feel too bad.

Thanks for sharing. I got something in the garage that looks like that and I haven't tried it out yet. I would have never thought to look for clearance.

Sorry to hear of your mishaps brianw. I also bent my right side sway arm on my B3030. Im not quite sure how though. I thought that i had done it when i hit an unseen pothole (deep) with a woods core aeraror in the raised position, i also had 560 # of weight in the aerator tray at the time? Do you think my theory has any merit?
