Well--you guys do have a little catching up to do, but once you get there, it's just one cylinder a year /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

The trick (at least for me) is convincing my wife that it is very important to continue to grow the cylinder index.

Another notion created by the host of the radio program is the FFLF

The FFLF (female fun limitation factor) is a basic rule of nature whereby when any two men are gathered (typically in the garage) and they are just about to do something they consider fun, the female of the house has a sixth sense about it. She comes out to the garage just in time to administer "THE LOOK" and subsequently puts an end to things.

I have an 02 Ford PU (8), 59 IHC PU (6), 41 Ford (8), 00 Alero (6), B2910 (4), Snapper lawn mower (1), Weed whacker (1), Mantis tiller (1), Stihl chainsaw (1), Generator (2), Snapper snowblower (1), log splitter (1) = 40. 55-40=15 cylinders short. Cylinder count .... 42 ... and I cheated because I added in the farm tractors but the differential depressed me. As it is I'm still 14 cylinders short. What have I been doing with my life?????? Now, let me see .... old Jaguar - that's 12 and something with 4 cylinders to give me a 2 year break to work on the Jaguar.

I mentioned to the CFO tonight that I was 20 cylinders short and maybe we need to do some shopping to even things out. I suggested maybe 2 new V10 F250 Super Duty's while keeping the trucks we have. That would make the equation even right there.
Her response was "As soon as they make a vacuum, dishwasher, disposal, washing machines, clothes dryer and something called an automatic laundry folder with internal combustion engines......then we'll be even"

I think that you can find a gasoline powered washing machine, but don't think that the rest are available..... I know that Maytag made them in the 1920's to the 1950's... possibly even later........

Do the engines have to run? If so, I'm at a serious deficit with around 30 at age 63. But, if I can count all of them, I stopped counting at 71. I do have a few projects laying around, including at least 8 VW Rabbit and Scirocco engines in various states of repair for spares, etc., for our road racing project. If I needed a certain part and it came attached to a car with an engine in it, I got it all. I think I may have missed a couple of Toyota engines and a Fiat 2000 engine that are under the bench. Do disassembled blocks, cranks, etc. count? Thank goodness, I got rid of a few.
