Ah, if only we were women ... we could multi-task! (I won't speak about any of the other attributes that would accompany the transformation .... )

I'm not going there!

I finally got mad at myself for letting this interrelated trio of projects languish and got it done before weed season arrives. The pictures and descriptions describe adequately what I was working on.

Very impressive. Your quality of workmanship and attention to detail are first rate!!! It's was a pleasure to view your pictures. Thank you.

How much of a difference did the front posts make in stiffening up your sun shade? I'm in the early thinking stages of building one for myself, but I'm hesitant on putting posts up front if I don't have to. I see it done both ways and my backhoe has the front posts, so I know visibility isn't an issue. Just don't know if I want/need them yet.

Thanks,
Eddie

Thanks for the kind words. The front posts made a remarkable difference in stopping canopy bounce. I wish I would have done it sooner.

My original plan was to install the monitor without the front posts, hence the long cable runs from the battery necessitating heavy gauge wire. If I didn't add the front posts, I figure the monitor would meet an early demise due to vibration.

I highly recommend adding the front posts whether one intends to add bells and whistles like I did or not.
