Hey, Nice job on the boxes, curious on the red flashing lights have you had issues or complaints? I know in Alberta flashing red is a reserved emergency color and isnt a cheap fine for having it on a vehicle, whats it like over there? Red really does stand out more than amber.

Nice fab, whered you get your beverly shear from?

Very Nice work on the lights and nice shots of your shop as well.

I looked back in the previous posts and did not see any reference to what looks like a infared camera / display mounted on the tractor. Did I see correctly or are my ageing eyes lying to me?

Nice looking tractor and great job 4shorts.:D

I have seen a lot of your work, and you do the best work I've ever seen.- And I mean that!

That tractor is very nice, and you put some nice stuff on it.- I always did like a lot of lights.- The video was great!

With the equipment you have.- You should be ready for some deep snow!

Take care!

Wow thank you very much sir. I'm very happy to know you've enjoyed looking at this stuff. Last year when I retired my old GMC from snow clearing I started looking at replacing it with a tractor and that's when I found this site. I asked some questions and everyone was very helpful so when I finally got the tractor I tried to post my work as much as I could to try and return the favor so to speak and maybe help someone else out in the process. After all that's what these forums should be about.
I'm pleased with my tractor but I needed to do all the things to it that I did to make it a little safer and comfortable for me when I'm out operating it. Thanks again for your kind words. It was very much appreciated and you take care as well. Paul

Thanks. No complaints on the red lights in the rear. I purchased them at a truck parts supply store and they did have the amber ones there as well. I checked with the Transportation Department and they said they were legal to use so I went with it. The only color were not permitted to use here is the blue ones and there reserved for the Transportation Department themselves :( I like the blue ones :D

I've had those shears for about ten years now and man they have cut some steel. They can also cut round stock, square stock, angle iron and it has a 6" deep throat for shearing flat bar. They can cut steel on minute and then place a piece of paper in it and it will make a clean cut on the paper  It has it's original cutting jaws on it and not a sign of wear on them. One of the best tools I ever purchased. If I remember correctly I purchased them for a catalog back then but I've seen similar ones to it at Princess Auto. Thanks for your post.

Tim the post is there but I'll make it easier for you and add the link ;) It's a real good system. So good in fact that I put one in my truck as well for when I'm pulling my welding machine around. I did make a few mods to the bracket that holds the camera on the dash that had nothing to do with the camera. I added a digital ambient air temp gauge to one side of the monitor and a digital volt gauge to the other side. So now you should be pleased to know your eyes weren't playing tricks on you :D I'll get you an updated picture of the camera set up today and post it here. You'll also notice the camera in the video I attached. Thanks for your post sir.

I first got interested in these 'night vision ' cameras when we installed one on a ship I was on for night time navigation around Singapore. All the wooden fishing boats would not show up well on Radar, but this camera would pick them up.
Later I saw a Flir unit at the 2009 OTC show in Houston designed for Autos. Since deer road kills / truck wrecks are common here, I renewed my interest as a safety concern. At $3000 US, they are too pricy for me.

Next you'll have to go for bluetooth so that you can get rid of the earpiece hanging on the throttle control!;)

I also like the "Limited Edition" sticker on the dash - very limited edition!

:D Ya she's limited alright. My phone is Bluetooth. That's the ear piece I use for it. I also have the type you put on the visor but I found the ear piece worked better. The phone is attached to the Ram holder on the right pillar post. With the Caller ID it's great because you know when the bill collectors are trying to get hold of you.:D:eek:

Interesting Tim. Like everything in life you get what you pay for. In the case of my system it cost around $300. and I think it was a very good price for what it does. I bet the $3000. one would be out of this world. I tried the wireless ones at Wal-Mart, Canadian Tire and I was not pleased at all. This system and it's supplier have been perfect all the way around.Paul

I was joking about installing the built in kind like cars have these days! LCD display in the dash, button on the steering wheel, etc.

With the quality of work you do, I bet it would look like a factory installation!
