Loader issue

That is a good tip on the quick disconnect when it is not taken apart for a long time. I had a different kind of problem I had an implement that was last used in cool weather and it was now summer. It would not plug into the female socket on the tractor for anything. The ball would not push down so I wrapped a clean cloth around the end and banged the ball with a firm piece of oak wood. Evertime I hit it, it released oil under pressure it then pushed on fine.

Yup, that is a very common issue also.

I had a mounted snow plow on my truck and would connect/disconnect every so often.

Most times I needed to release pressure at the couplers and also found that slightest grit or grime made for difficult or false couplings.

As a routine I sprayed the male and female couplers with WD-40 and that sure cleaned the junk out and made connecting MUCH easier.
In the cold also found that a propane torch was a good friend as often ice got in there and prevented the couplers to work properly, in fact everybody around here keeps a plumber's torch in his snow rig.
