The L47 is an industrial TBL rather than an ag machine. It's got a real frame I believe rather than just bolting the transmission housing to the engine to hold the machine together. It's designed to be abused with a hoe day in & day out. They tend to be 30% heavier per HP or something in that ballpark. The loaders aren't quick removable like on the Grands either.
I'd have looked at em harder, but I was upgrading to a cabbed machine & they have no cab options. They are also a fair bit more expensive than the Grands too.
I have a 2005 L39, first of the (L39/L45/L47 Line) somewhat Modified and reinforced here and there. I think I'd be on my 2nd or third grand L what I put that little bugger through. I've have quite a few posting on TBN about my L39, just do a search. A soft cab gets me thru the winter.
