I believe since you made the father in laws money comment you are talking about McCain.
If you are not I apologize if you are however I want to at least correct you on this. I believe McCain had at least one job. It was working for the United States Navy. That is a job I am proud to say I have also had at one time in my life. I see a lot of politicians that talk about how much they love their country or what they are willing to give up for it. McCain is the only one that has stepped up to the plate and literally put his body on the line for an idea. When McCain was offered the chance to go home from Hanoi he knew how much that would play out in propaganda for our enemies. He chose to stay and face years of torture so that they would not be able to use him like that. Whether his politics are good or bad, whether he deserves to be president, that is a choice that in our own minds we have to make. He does however deserve respect for refusing to go home before it was his turn when he was a POW.
I understand completely---I held your view---however my dear uncle who walked the Bataan death march and survived held Mc in low esteem for what he did after he came home----He left his wife went to "work" in Washington chasing every woman in DC---I didn't say single--just like he did in the naval academy---such high grades cause he studied all the time---My uncle was a loyal Republican to his death---but he never forgave Mc for using his war record and not living a moral and ethical life after that abuse. He said it could have been a metal thing but he was afraid it was a character flaw because he had exhibited that behavior during his high school and naval academy years---my uncle did alot of personal research because he worked with alot of military personal from Fort Polk and Barksdale. However he never could get over the fact that Mc married a 24 year old rich girl (left the wife that had faithfully waited for him to come home from war and children for a younger woman)and lived the good life in DC with her back in Arizona. My uncle came home after that terrible march weighing 89 LBs his wife nursed him back to health and they were never able to have children.(he treated me my sister and younger brother like his own, in fact my brother is still in the Navy hoping to be captain soon!!)---After my uncles death I promised that I would not vote for him no matter what. He gave a heck of a price for this country---but one aw shucks wipes out 99 "at a boys" at my house. If he really cares about this country now he would realize that a Seventy year old man is not on the top of his game---this has become personal with him not COUNTRY!!!! My uncle never used a seat belt in a car or had a roll bar on any tractor ---He believe in the FREEDOM OF CHOICE!!!!
