Thanks everyone, although there's plenty left to do it is nice seeing it so far along.
The total square footage is 2800 counting the second floor. I have around 30k into the building, that doesn't include site work. So, if you do the math, the per square foot cost is just under $11/sq.ft. That almost makes it sound cheap.

Yes it does... of course that's not counting everything else that went into the build.
Monitor style barns have always been a favorite of mine... had plans to build one on a down slope so I could access the upstairs with a ramp...
Just never able to get anywhere with the city/HOA
Basically, it would have been like building a home except for interior finishes... about 80k just for foundation work... many piers 20-24' deep to meet seismic standards.
Funny thing is my 1957 home has no piers and only a very modest foundation and 2x4 framing.
Nieghbor did a 3 car garage addition and was over a 100k for engineering and foundation... and he is on flat land.

Came out for an overnight trip. I got the upper stairs in place, will frame up and pour a pad to set the lower set on tomorrow. Hope to ste them next week.

As the end nears for the work needed to complete the permit requirements my mind is already thinking down the road a ways. A couple years ago a local school was upgrading their lighting and sold me a bunch of 400watt high bay light units with bulbs. I know that they all work and that they are obsolete, but at $5 a piece I couldn't resist. The barn is basically three bays 15', 20', 15', all 40' deep. There's no parting walls between bays, just 3 posts.
What does everyone think about putting three lights down the center of the 15' bays and two rows of three down the 20' bays? I have plenty of fixtures to do this. Will it be enough? Is it overkill? Ceiling is open trusses in 15' bays and 20' bay is the underside of the second floor.
The second floor will get florescent lighting of some sort, or maybe LED.
Well this won't get done till after final inspection, just thinking aloud and looking for some insight.
