Longest Original Tractor Battery Life?

What is the record so far - Anyone keeping track ??? Battery in my L3010 was from spring 2002 to spring 2020 - 18 years. No charger and cold winters.

Unless I missed one, I believe the record on this thread holds at 26 years. The 18 on your L3010 is a great run....especially with cold winters.

Not a record yet, but my 2007 MF GC2310 (delivered Feb 2008) is still running on its original battery.

Its funny, I was just going to post an obituary on my Kubota L4400 battery here on TBN when I saw this thread. It died today at almost exactly 15 years from the day I bought the tractor. I've been amazed as 4-5 years is the most I ever get out of my cars and trucks. The amazing thing to me is that this tractor sits idle sometimes for weeks at a time, no trickle charger or anything.

I'm actually kind of sad.

Purchased my L3010 in August of 1999, replaced battery in August of 2019 . . . 20 year run. Also a lot of battery acid related corrosion that I didn稚 realize was occurring so put a plastic marine battery tray in when putting the new battery in.

FWIW, the very large 4D series Interstate battery in my Dresser dozer has been going strong since 1993

So what is the secret to long life?
Do you keep a trickle charger on it?
Does tractor get run every day for over 20 minutes at a time?
I just replaced a 12 year old battery on my car. It was probably fine for another 12, but I got nervous. I think the key was everyday usage, 2-30 minute trips a day.
