Real men carry real guns, not plastic wannabee's.:)

Real men make their own decisions...

I like that LCR and have considered buying one. Guy I used to work with had one...he really liked it.

Snubbies are great when you just want to toss a gun in your pocket (WITH a pocket holster!!) for a quick trip to a convenience store...or walking down to get the mail.
I own two snubby revolvers...both Taurus lightweight .38's and a Ruger LCP .380.

where I come from ..... Illinois ...... enough said .... our government must think their constituents are not capable of carrying a gun . I think we are the only state that can't carry

Yep, you are....

There's an Illinois state rep (can't recall his name) that wants to cede Chicago and Cook County from the state so the rest of you can become part of the United States. He's introduced a bill...you might want to look it up.

I carry a detonics 3.5" in .45 ACP in a Versacarry system when I am going into the city, but for a daily carry around the property or local area I carry a two shot derringer in 44 special. When hiking or out for a day in the mountains I carry both the detonics and a North American Arms six shot with snake loads. I keep a North American Arms 22 in both my wife's vehicle and mine. I like the North American Arms because they are point, pull the hammer back and pull the trigger weapons so under stress there is not much thinking required. I am combat trained, but my wife is not so these are perfect weapons for the vehicles.

When in T-shirt and Jeans my two shot derringer will fit into the watch pocket and behind the belt and cannot be seen, but readily available. Here again it fires two 44 specials

As a follow up about auto's jamming I have never had one jam while using new name brand ammo in a well maintained weapon. I would never load my carry guns with reloads or cheap imported ammo, not ever!.

When seconds matter the police are only minutes away.

As to the OP, the LCR was picked as their top choice in that category this year. I have owned own several Rugers and they are top notch. I do find the S&W a little easier to take down. We had several Officers who carried them.

Over the past 40+ years, I have carried just about every type handgun in holsters, pockets, shoulder, ankle, cross draw imaginable including the much vaunted 1911's.

When I was working, for several years, we could only carry revolvers, so I carried a J Frame and K Frame. Then we were allowed to carry Glock G22, G23 or G27, so I carried a G23 or G27; had to choose the two guns and certify with them.

I guess since I retired, I have suffered severe testosterone depletion as I now carry a S&W 638 with Crimson Trace Grips.

I do agree with carrying the same gun all the time or one very similar.

My wife and I are in the same boat as our matching Beretta 92s are not really practical for daily concealed carry. I like staying w/9mm since we already have lots of ammo and I can reload if I desire. Not much need to since 9mm ammo is cheap. So far we have looked at the LC9, and 9mm Kel-Tec, Taurus, Kahr, and Sig. I can't decide - they all seem good to me. SHE settled immediately on the LC9 since the grip fit her hand well. I will not argue, because to my thinking that is a VERY important consideration for accurate use.

I like that well said Roy!

I love my Glocks if they made a pocket pistol I would own one or several w/o hesitation.

Take a look at kel tec for a true pocket gun.The p3at Is about as small as you can get about 11 oz loaded with 7 rounds of mag safe or glasser's.
DAO it's not made for target shooting but is more than adequate for self defense and concealed carry.
Most guns any larger are like an advertisement if carried in your pocket.
As stated before the best gun is the one you have with you. That 45 may be nice but it doesn't go well with a tank top and shorts.
I've carried many guns from large autos to snub's the smaller ones always seem to have more pocket time.
