As a member of TBN, we assume the OP told the absolute truth, but I saw something recently in a news article about employers who refused to hire someone because the applicant bad mouthed a prior employer on Facebook.

And honestly, would any of you business owners hire the OP after reading what he posted here about his prior employer, supervisors, and co-workers?

I'm not judging him in any way, but think it was very foolish to post what he posted where it can be seen by everyone, including any potential employers.

Bird, a lot of counselors are warning high school and college kids to stop posting so much about themselves on social media. All that stuff stays out there forever and some employers look for it.

Well, we dont know his true name nor where he worked, but ya, need to watch it now-a-days.

If he put an email address on a job application (or resume) and his email address matches his username, it would be trivial to match this thread up to him.

This young man (assumption) was hurt and a little angrynbecause he was convinced that he was doing a superior job. His downfall was that he didnt understand how the company makes money, and how his desire to do the best job he could was conflicting with the company's throughput needs.

I agree it was maybe foolish to "mean mouth" management publicly, but after several folks explained it to him, he simmered right down and got to work finding another job. :thumbsup:

And what employer is going to look at TBN for dirt on a potential employee? He could have posted this thread anywhere, or not. Facebook can be dangerous that way. Some employers were asking for access to the potential employee's account to access it and to make decisions based on what might be out there....

I just got the best call ever!! It will be working for case equipment. I will be retrained on how to service agricultural equipment. I will not only be retrained but I will be supplied my own truck! This truck has built in tool boxes and possibly a small crane for lifting heavy items. Quite a job possibility to say the least. They want every thing done right. Every time I have talked to a co-worker about a job like this in the past they would tell me that is a bad job for them because it requires work. I don't mind driving from job to job in a company truck servicing farmers equipment

I was under stress because I don't want to loose my current home and I am struggling to pay my student loans now

Yes, a fairly slim chance, but a chance that I wouldn't take if it were me. Of course, I have no reason to care about such a post if he wants to take that chance.

Congratulations, that sounds like a great field service job for you. Keep in mind the extra patience you will need for certain customers, and I'm sure it will go well for you.
