We have not heard of any more problems lately. Is that correct?
What context is your response too?
Pinto's? They should not have any more problems.

The motor may have to be turning over to provide vacuum so the brakes will be properly applied.![]()
Well....Hate to tell you guys this but my mother-in-law just wrecked her 2 month old Rav4...
She was in the process of exiting a parking garage and on her way down the the round d round ramp she said the car started to speed up and she pushed the brakes as hard as she could and the car would not even slow down...after hitting the curb and scuffing the wall she managed to get the car into neutral and stop the car with the e-brake.
She then put the car back into gear and it started to immediately take of again, she put it into neutral and the shut the car off.
Once she restarted the car everything was fine.
She blew the right front tire out when she hit the curb.
Now keep in mind she was only going maybe 10 mph.
They changed the tire and drove the car to the Toyota dealer which was only about 10 miles away.
She explained what happened to the service manager and he stated that the only reason why she could not stop the car was because the rim was spinning inside of the tire due to the bead being broke??
Well I guess you can tell a 62 year old lady anything.
She came to me crying and shaking and ask me what she should do.
I call the service manage and he said he never said anything like that
I pull the blown tire out of the back of her car and the bead was not broke on either side so guess he didn't even look.
Well long story short...she was in contact with Toyota and they gave her a case number and said they would get back to her.
She does not even want the car anymore and will not drive it.
Ya here is the good part..When she bought the car the dealer told her that this one will not have any problems cause it was made in Japan not the US!!!!!
brakes circuit still functions without power assist from a vacuum source..you just have to press harder...try it sometime in your vehicles.

There may also be some differences on how the linkages are set up!![]()
Please to describe something different than a brake pedal trunnioned to a pushrod compressing brake fluid which is routed to a wheel cylinder/caliper which pushes a piston on the brake pad to the braking surface.
