Greetings, I am new to this group and a new tractor shopper. However, my husband is an experienced dairy/beef farmer. We currently have a 15 acre horse farm and will also need to care for aging father in laws 15 acres. Mostly mowing, some material hauling such as mulch, stall bedding, and moving some dirt. Box blading on the driveway. We have a 12' brushog type mower, a box blade, and a Bobcat to use for some dirt work. The Case is at a point of needing a lot of major work, so I feel it is time for a new tractor and that my husband should count himself lucky, since not many wives encourage new tractor buying. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif
Via website I like the L4630, but after going to the dealer, we decide we want to go with bigger such as the L5030 or the M5040. We will have to get a new mower and FEL with either tractor.
It seems in talking to the salesperson, they seem to have a low opinion of the Grand L series as in not much beef. Is that fact or just salespitch? I definately want to have the tractor we need for maintaining 15+ acres of horse property but not overkill.
Thanks for all your help, I have enjoyed this website immensly!
