Mahindra 5155 Anyone?

My dealer had mine loaded with washer fluid for $300.I thought that was pretty good.
I would gladly pay $300! I have the equipment to load tires myself . But with windshield washer fluid hovering in the $3-4 a gallon region x120 gallon. It will have to wait until I find washer fluid on sale 😭

Just took possession of a new 5155 a couple weeks ago. Downsized from a 91hp JD 5525. Less than 20 hrs on the Mahindra thus far. Wondering if y'all have experienced any appreciable vibration in your own 5100's to date? I'm getting some significant resonance between 1800 through 2000 rpm. Makes the brake lever buzz loudly like it's coming unglued. Above 2000 the engine vibration continues and buzzes other stuff as well. This occurs under all conditions, stationary and otherwise - neutral or otherwise.
Mine hates 1500 to 1800 , it rattles like crazy and has a very unbalanced feel with in the drivetrain, a little under or below , and it's much better, I hope this is not going to be some catastrophic failure down the road due to wear

mine is a lot louder above 2000 rpm but i would not call it excessive, I suspect my experience with loud and high vibration equipment makes me less sensitive to this issue.

Thanks Walt. Had been seriously looking at the New Holland Workmaster 70. It has 12.5/80 - 18s on the front. I have a high water table and relatively level 12 acres so considered a wider tire to minimize ruts, yet the 5155 has higher weight, loader, and three point capacities, as well as that three range tranny. Considering I don’t do any ground engagement other than brush hogging, I don’t see the need for 70hp if the Mahindra is better at picking things up and putting them down with the grapple.
ok so spent the weekend fitting my wild rabbits with SCUBA gear. putting the flippers on them was tuff! but they are a blast to watch running around in them.

I did not have any problem with flotation or using the FEL in the swamp that is my lower level around my pond. It is slick and soft enough that I hesitate to go out there with my 4X4 tahoe with oversized BFG all terrains. I do not know your location but in my experience the front tire (R4s) is plenty wide YMMV. I can say that the FEL on the 5100 series is a beast and the tractor is well balanced for most tasks (no loaded tires for me just box blade on rear). I have had more problems with mine than most here (mostly self inflected) but i would not hesitate to buy another and i cannot think of any thing i would do differently other than buy it sooner.

I have about 10hrs on mine so far. Been breaking it on doing some light brush hog work. Have been trying to run at different rpms so I have used both 540 and 540E.It vibrates a bit more at the higher rpm,but it's not bad at all. I have a Kubota with a belly mower also.I mow at around 2200 rpm with it.I have to bump it up or down a bit to find a sweet spot. Surprising how much of a difference 50 to 100 rpm will make in smoothness.

Hello! I purchased a 5155 earlier this summer. It's got about 23 hours on it now and has worked out really well for what I bought it for. I've added a hydraulic top link and want to add a hydraulic side link. Has anyone added one to their 5155 yet? Would you mind sharing what you got and if you ran into any issues? (I got my top link and hoses from Tractor Supply. Easy install, though the cylinder doesn't fit up and in to the bracket on the tractor when it's not in use. I've been using a rope when necessary to hold it up and out of the way.)

I'll also add that mine doesn't vibrate too bad, but if I lean back on the seat when running at ePTO there is a vibration that I can feel/"hear" through the headphones.

well i have not filled my tires but down here I can put 2 gal of antifreeze per tire to limit corrosion and fill with water, but that is the beauty of living down south. No white stuff for me!

welcome aboard, if you have time post some photos of your top link, I'm planning to do one myself.

...rattles like crazy. Yes, that's what I'm getting. 'Unbalanced' is a good word for it. And I ain't of a mind to accept that as normal at this point. As you said, it changes frequency as the rpm moves higher or lower, however that does not negate the vibration, it simply changes the pitch of the resonance. I've a call to the dealer for my guy to check any other 5100s he has on his lot to see if they do anything similar. Longer term effects won't be good. That's just too much shakin' going on.
