Mahindra Tractors Quality and Reliability?

Don't "Grey Market" tractors bring 7500 to 10,000 in the market? I would say that all used CUTs have pretty good value.

I hadn't looked at this thread in a week or so. I have to admit, I do get a kick out of some people. Just to make sure, I went back and re-read my posts. I never once said anything but positive things about Mahindra yet a few people got their panties all up in a bunch because I basically said that 1+1=2 and refused to explain to them why that is true. My goodness, some people need to get a grip on reality.

I'd have to say that any legitimate question asked is not a question asked just to get group support from like thinking people. I would have to assume a legitimate question is asked seeking an answer or opinions of some sort. Sorry, but I can't just act like I've never been around tractors and that I've not seen what tractors have been selling for the last 25 years and what tractors demand higher prices due to market forces. I never once said that Mahindra was not a good tractor, but when I stated the obvious, some people wanted to question common knowledge and act like they have had their head in the sand for 30 years. I have not the time nor desire to try to help with personality disorders. If watching the news bothers you, don't watch the news. If facts bother you, don't ask for answers. If you don't like the meaning of words, don't open a dictionary.

I even went so far as to read the rules and to see what the mission, if you will, of this site is. Nowhere did I see that guys must always agree with other people's opinions or that the posting of common knowledge and facts are not allowed. It is actually humorous to see how some guys act. I have this little mental picture of some of these guys sitting in a little cluttered dark room pecking away at their computer looking for group support because some neighbor or co-worker has "insulted" them because when bragging about their tractor, the neighbor or co-worker stated that they had never heard of that brand. The neighbor or co-worker intended no harm and only stated the fact that they had never heard of that brand. The "insulted" guy then runs home, comes here and looks for group support to make them feel better. Should anyone online dare not offer a group hug, the person is again extremely offended. Gees, lighten up and come to the real world where you can realize that absolutely nobody really cares what brand of tractor you own. Nobody. If you like it, be happy with it. Don't be offended by someone not giving you a group hug and congratulating you on your brilliant purchase. If they offer a compliment, great. However, wake up to the fact that it means not to them what color or what brand tractor you have. If someone else tells you that MF has sold more tractors in the world than your tractor manufacturer, or that market demand drives the resale value of a JD tractor higher than what your tractor may be, SO WHAT! If you don't want to hear that, don't ask or don't read this site. I assure you that somewhere somebody is going to eventually say that their brand is better than yours (what else would you expect them to say?). If that is going to cause you such mental anguish, I can't help you.

Here is my original statement about the original question asked: "It would be hard to compare Mahindra to JD or Kubota since those two represent a huge percentage of the U.S. CUT market. However, not to imply that they wouldn't hold their own dollar for dollar against those two, I'd say that a Mahindra tractor stacks up well against any of the "non-big three" manufacturers quite well. Good luck!"

I'll readily say again that Mahindra would likely be my first choice outside one of the products offered by the big three. If you don't like that..., oh well... /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif

Strange ain't it? I just read this thread and figured going in from its lenth it would be controversial. Has anyone else noted this any more than 3 pages of posts in a certain tractor forums, click on it for fireworks /forums/images/graemlins/crazy.gif
I am looking tractors but will not start a comparison thread as I am looking this brand and the two K's /forums/images/graemlins/tongue.gif

Reading the previous 50 or so messages might answer that question.....hey where is the original poster of the thread “Stoner?”

I hope he is not reading a stock market message board in hopes of finding out about Mahindra Quality and Reliability /forums/images/graemlins/shocked.gif /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

I don't know, he might do better there eh?

My point was I'm no message board rookie, posted tens of thousands of messages and read hundreds of thousands more. Doesn’t really matter if its cars, tractors or stocks....anywhere where someone is selling something someone will be promoting it. Stock board scammers make TBN look like Disney Land. After threading through the mine field of stock pumpers and scammers for years it’s quite simple to spot the simple back patting and tractor price pumping.

Maybe you could help “stoner” with his question considering your concern.

Stoner asking "How do they compare to a John Deere or a Kubota?" And...... the answer is? Start all over /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Really, there is not clear cut answer, buy the best , biggest that you can afford it, If is JD, then so be it. Ultimately it does not matter what anybody thinks, or say. It's your nickel! /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif

What you are saying MIGHT be true for other things , but here at TBN the moderators are pretty darn sharp.

I dont think that goes on much at all here cause Muhammad will kick your butt out faster than you know what happened /forums/images/graemlins/shocked.giffor petty stuff like that.

Has anyone else ever read about this happening here?

I spend most of my time in the tractor seat, not reading message boards, guess I don't know that much about my tractor, huh?

I had one person private message me who has been around here a lot longer than I who agreed and said he has observed the same things I mentioned....it’s the nature of internet forums really.

I agree TBN is better controlled than most sites, but the brand specific threads are controlled by “insiders” from what I've seen. It’s kind of interesting to view the quality of information and responses to questions on the various brands, makes one wonder if the dealer network and ownership quality isn’t directly related to the quality of messages on these brand specific threads. There are a couple of brands IN MY OPINION that are by far better at real and courteous information, those being NH and MF, followed by Kubota is how I would rank the flow of useful info to specific questions. BTW...noticed no mention of you being a Mahrinda dealer in your profile.

You sound a bit paranoid bud....watch out, they could have you on the homeland security list now. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif
