I'm still thinking about it... but I'm certainly a bit more cautious now. /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif

If there is something to the part about copyright info available to the public, would it be different if it were in a private website only available with a password? Only a thought.

I'd be willing to contribute info and photos as needed.

Hey guys,

This is a good idea.. certainly something that would add to the TBN community and be a valuable resource for all members.

In light of that, we would like to offer to host this project. It sounds like what you guys are looking for is a place where you can submit "articles" (content of various kinds) and have them be available at all times without having to search through forums.

There are many commercial software products available on the market that can do this... the articles can be organized by category and will always be available.

We have wanted to do something like this for a while, but since I don't have the time to write the articles, it never got off the ground.

We can start to look at some software products and proceed if you guys like the idea of having it be on TBN.

Posting what you post here in a more organized environment by tractor type I doubt would infringe on their copywrite. You can have the appropriate disclaimers that it is just opinion and to be used at the reader's own risk. If it did violate their copywrite, you would have long ago heard from them and this forum would be banned by Tractorbynet.

You are their sales force. Without us, they would not succeed in this product line. In fact, they would have even more sales if this were to occur as the single biggest barrier to buying their products is their absolute ludicrous/useless manuals. What they should do is "haunt" that new site and comment when they agree or disagree like someone does here from Robin.

Judging by the positive feedback, this is a worthy concept.

This is a good start. But the articles to me are the "precursor" to an "approved" electronic manual. So, someone posts their article, it is vetted by users until their is a consensus or agreement on other approaches, then added to the "manual". The manual then is place in the area Muhammad is offering. If it is not too expensive, having some short videos for more complicated items would be excellent. Certainly inserted pics would be ideal. So if the manual was posted as a pdf with pics...there we go.
