Actually, how I could see the concept being the most useful would be as a fully functional website [whether within, associated with, or non-associated with TBN]. Of course, the information would still be originally sourced as funpilot just mentioned or similar methods.
i.e.
First page: pictures with [or as] buttons of each general model
next page: category buttons: Maintenance Charts, Engine, Steering......
Then: subcatagory buttons [if required]: Fuel, Carburation, Valves, Exhaust..........
And finally: the exact topics under the appropriate catagory or subcatagory: even better if it has links to pictures, videos, discussions here, or even similar topics on the site. Of course, the same topic could be referenced from many different points [the identical fuel filter might be found on 4 different machines and be referenced both by a maintenance chart or a fuel issue].
Actual recommended maintence topics could even be separted from improvements by titles or columns on each page or how about color coded: from standard procedure - to common obvious improvement: to radical [not sure if any of mine qualify for that yet, but getting there! /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif ]
Too bad PT wasn't supportive of the concept, while they have great service, I just can't envision them taking it to the level I just mentioned (though they do have a good point that only they could utilize [short of their support anyway] the ID number, you don't know for sure what idiosyncracies or exact parts your unit has without it).
Anything short of something that can work with multiple layers and overlapping references I can't see being too much quicker than a search as we already know it.
A neat side advantage, blank spots would be really obvious, so for several monthes I think we'd have some new topics or certainly revisit many discussions. /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif
