They say the CBL oil or whatever it is works, I don't know if it does or not but I don't want any of it near me, especially the smoke.. Why anyone would want to pull smoke into the the only set of lungs they are gonna get this time around is beyond me..
Agreed, smoking anything is a real health risk factor and I bet many of you smoke cigarettes or cigars or did once.
I find the smell of pot obnoxious but then so is the smell of most cigars. CBD is short for Cannabidiol, which does not get you high, does not affect performance or driving or anything from what I've read other than being a plant based pain killer. It works wonders on folks with arthritis, folks even give it to their arthritic dogs and it works there too. This is medicine, not Cheech and Chong material.
And usually it is in an oil form, administered in drops or a salve, as I use on my wrists and hands. It really works...at least comparable to lidocaine alternatives and longer lasting.
I think it's important we are clear on terms. It's THC that is the issue, not CBD and because they come from basically the same plant they get confused all the time. You shouldn't throw out CBD with the THC bathwater... Farmers in my area are now planting a lot of hemp in order to produce CBD for the medical industry. They need special licenses, inspection, etc because looking at the plant, apparently you can't see the difference. My primary doc even suggested to me I try CBD because she had heard good things about it.
My drug store owner just went to a convention where CBD was a main topic. So one is medicine and one is recreational.
Having said that, based on my reading, most "pot" is some mixture of both. Apparently you need a proper refining process to get CBD without THC in it. So....most marijuana has a degree of THC in it, and yes, for many people, the higher the THC content the better, the more of a buzz you get. It's the buzz that creates unsafe conditions and what you don't want your forklift operator using at lunch time.
My sense of smell is strong enough I can smell someone smoking cigarettes in the car in front of me on the highway. I gag when coming out of restaurants when the air reeks of cigarette smoke from folks smoking near the door. I honestly can't imagine what the Californians do in public areas. Personally I don't think any of us have the right to stink up the place.
