Just ordered a 60" toothbar. Cost was $200.00 + shipping. Very professional and polite on the phone. Says will be here in 2 days. Won't use it till spring but can't wait to start ripping into some roots and brush and gravely soil. 2 more months of winter to endure first.................

I have been wanting a backhoe for some time but just can't squeeze the extra money right now. Do ya'll think a toothbar on my loader would do the job of removing Hackberry tree stumps or not ? These trees have to be the most stubborn of all. Very hard wood.

While I don't have any Hackberry Trees in this part of the woods, I wouldn't recommend using a toothbar for anything more than small saplings and the like. Loaders can have major problems when using them for really hard digging. The stresses of removing a difficult stump may brake or bend your loader. Soft rooted trees of not too large demensions shouldn't be a problem and the toothbar will certainly make a huge difference. John
