I *^&%$& hate the lottery.

People who don't have the money waste it to the state because it's legalized gambling, most of the money raised never gets to the intended reason pushed by the state, but to line peoples pocket, and worst of all, ANY time I want to pay for gas I get behind some guy that has to take 10 *&%$*&% minutes to figure out what he wants to buy or he's trying to collect on $2.

That is why they created "pay at the pump"... so you wouldn't get in the way of the Lottery customers with your gas purchase.
I didn't buy any lottery tickets today, cause it was that time of the month for my truck... the time I have to put fuel in it. It did pretty good this month, only $115 to fill it up, which was about fifty less than I expected!

I've never bought a lottery ticket but I would like to thank all of you for paying a voluntary tax.

:D:thumbsup::laughing: Glad to hear I'm not alone. I've never bought one either. Ex girlffriend gave me a scartch-off one time. It was a loser.

Anybody remember the thread I started asking if anybody had ever won money by gambling?

For some reason, my wife wants to go out and buy lottery tickets today...the problem is, if she did win anything she would go out and blow the money on useless crap like clothing, shoe, craft stuff, etc. So I hope she DOESN'T win anything.

I bought a single $1 quick pick last night with my gas at the local joint.

What the heck, why not...

I hope a TBN'er wins it, that would ROCK!

I already hit the lottery.

That being said, I gambled, and played 2 dollars on this latest jackpot.

My take is, if it was meant to be, it would be. Why not me?

I will hire an attorney, and get more anonymous than I am now. :)

I will also get another cab tractor, a new rifle, and finish another out building.
I will write a few checks to charity, that would be the second thing, after the attorney.

I have my tickets.

The only thing money can't buy is poverty.

Jim

That's not really correct. From what I hear, a significant number of people who hit it rich eventually end up declaring bankruptcy.

I've never bought a lottery ticket but I would like to thank all of you for paying a voluntary tax.

I agree

I have never lost a single dollar on any lottery....that's because I have never spent/wasted a single dollar on any lottery. But it's fine with me if other people want to voluntarily contribute to the politicians' reckless spending.

We just got home from Speedway...wife spent $10 on the lottery. They had a sign posted near the registers that said the lottery ticket buyers there won $71,048 in 2011. Made me wonder how much they WAGERED on tickets...

On average, probably twice that much. The lotteries are psychologically designed to take your money and give half back on average. Play it long enough and you are sure to lose.

The only real winner is the state and the politicians. Well, the stores make some money off of it too. Everybody wins....except the players.

Not buying a ticket. Life would be horrible winning that much money.

That "pay at the pump convenience" costs me an additional $.06 per gallon because I have to use my debit/credit card and the stores whine that they have to pay a fee even though they are the ones who inconvininced me in the first place giving precedence to lottery players over customers who were in line making larger and more expensive purchases. Sorry but it just hasn't been very convenient for me.
