Almost without exception the advice I have received on TBN as been solid and helpful. I wonder if threads like this make people less likely to give advise (opinions).
I have complained about the thread and asked for it to be pulled...It is a stupid thread and I have never said that about any other thread...ever !![]()
No.Is anyone else concerned?
I've never seen this happen. However, if you have, did you correct this 'bad or dangerous' advice in the thread or report it to a Moderator? Some members think they are knowledgeable on all subjects and frequently give bad or dangerous advice.
Why would you say this? I don't see how posting wrong or dangerous information would qualify someone for Member of the Month.Appears member of the month posts is the holy grail.
Again, this assumes people are deliberately giving bad advice which is highly unlikely. TBN is all about people helping people which includes using your experience to help, and at times, politely correct others. Not correcting bad advice is irresponsible.I would propose, if you don't have knowledge on a subject, sit back and learn something. No advice is better than bad advice.
By starting this thread, then never posting in it again, what I call a 'drive by' posting, you might have. I also question the real motives of a 'drive by' poster.Don't intend to tick anyone off personally.
Then it's up to the people with more experience to correct the bad advice or report it.I just find when someone is in need of help, due to lack of experience as I have been on occasion and posted needing help, bad advice could get people in trouble.
MikePA and brin,
brin wants to take away my rights to free speech..
I guess I am just repeating my original post here.
RickB, Am I singled out here? Whom else did you dress down?
Trying to figure out why?
