Well, I've seen you've already taken more of a beating than that canopy ever will....

The old girl sure looks a lot different than when you started.

lol .. Thanks for that .. Yeah I almost didn't post it not my best work. But I needed something quick before winter sets in to keep the snow off my head and a place to mount lights up high for plowing. Just to many projects around the house taking up my coins at the moment. I'll have it right by early spring

Send back the original lights you got. LED are so much better. This said, there was a period of time where people had issues with running LED lights on Kohler / Subaru engines because the alternator is a bit different and is hard on the electronics.

If the LED's work, send back the Incandescents. They draw a bunch of power for no great result.

For now I like the factory lights as a main stay. I originally did buy the Led's for the bottom. But think I'll test them first, as long as they work fine with the stator system on the Kohler and don't burn out. I'll eventually switch them back to the bottom and buy a better quality rectangular set for the top. I can always use the Incandescent's for backup lights down the road. Like you said, the newer ones are much improved.

I've got some posts out there somewhere with some little 6 LED rectangular lights I bought that fit up real nice under the canopy. I think they were under $40 for a two-pack, so I bought 4 thinking I'd replace all 4 of the incandescent lights I was running at the time. I mounted two under the canopy, saw how white-bright they were and promptly removed the 4 incandescent lights and tossed them in a box never to be seen again! I've run them for a full year with no issues. I mounted one under the rear of the canopy for a backup light. Haven't hooked it up yet, but since its such a low profile, it won't hit my head or catch branches under there.

How did you mount them I don't see any mounting brackets on the lamps?

They come with little brackets. I used the same bolt I used to mount the incandescents.
