At the moment, no. I have a great picture of it on a pallet. I am stuck in LA waiting for movie to start. Really chapping my hind quarters as I have realized i like messing around on the farm more than I like listening to some ill mannered actor (agent) tell me how 6 million is not enough for 2 months of their time...

Its been a long week...

Hopefully will go up and play around in the next few weeks.. Hopefully...

Hi J J, I was watching this thread and I saw your post for the tree scoop. Did you do this yourself and if so what are the dimensions, I have been thinking about building something like this for a bit and wanted to make sure I didn't make it too long so that it folds on prying under some roots.

Thanks
Brent

No, I didn't build the one in the picture. I would use 1/4 in steel and form it in the shape of a large shovel. Whether you cut it out and bend it, or cut it into sections, and weld it, it should be strong enough. The size, should be tailored to your machine.

Thanks for the quick response J J. Hopefully I can get this built up quickly, have to move some bushes. I will post some pictures when I'm done.

You also might want to check scrap yards for old air compressor tanks or large diameter heavy pipe. They are already round and usually pretty thick steel. Just trace out an angle that looks good and torch it. Then grind an edge on it. If you plan it right, you may get two identical halves to play with.

Thanks, after I get the bucket, then I may get your advice on the correct cylinder, but more important the correct valve setup. That is if you don't mind me asking. I have a few cylinder's already picked out, but I'll wait until I get the bucket attached in the right mannor, then decide on the length of the tube. Then I can go from there.

Barry, how are you coming along with your backhoe? I just finished my second backhoe. I made a few minor changes from my first one. I repositioned the curl cyl. and welded hose hoops on the attachment plate to keep the hoses from flopping around. Heres a few pictures.

P.S. Send me a PM if you need any info on the spec's of my backhoe- valve, dipper arm size, gusset plates, etc. I'd be happy to help if I can. The curl cyl. and buckets were purchased from a company in Canada.

Man you don't play do you?? Impressive, that is a really nice attachment addition. No, I haven't started my hoe yet. I’m having a hitch receiver welded onto an attachment plate for some idea's I’ve had for a couple of years now. I'm just now getting around to it since I don’t have any welding equipment.

Don’t think my hoe will turn out that nice, it’s going to be a little more home grown. I like the angled boom on that bad boy. I’ll be trying something more unorthodox when I do mine. I appreciate the offer though to help when the time comes. I Love my little 180, just wish they would have had a mini hoe option. Now how about some pictures of it in action...:D :D
