Hey svcguy, what happened to your 135? Doing an engine rebuild also? Did you have problems with the tranny? More pictures of your 135 would be cool to see if you could post them. Thanks, TB

I think that old anything requires work and maintenance....Is that not the fun of it all, getting dirty?

You bet it is.

I'm up to my butt in parts from my 1951 Minneapolis Moline BF tractor that I've been restoring for the past 2 months. The rebuilt clutch just arrived today UPS.

Need to head for WallyMart this weekend for new Dickies work shirt/pants. Grease and old dirty paint dust has just about trashed my current work clothes.

It's a blast.

It's nice to be able to WEAR your grease rag instead of having to look for it all the time! I have about 4 or 5 pairs of old levi's I wear when doin that stuff. Thats where the "hand me downs" go when they are no longer fit for the public. lol TB

Injector pump leak has been repaired - needed a new gasket. Was surprised to find out you can't buy the gaskets at MF dealers...has to come from a diesel shop. Gave it a quick pressure washing before the mechanic came out, plan on finishing the job when it quits raining, although he said it looked pretty good the way it was. He also said he's impressed with how solid the tractor appears to be (he isn't a MF guy personally - prefers Ford and JD), starts right up, runs strong, no smoke, no unusual or excessive leaks. I topped off the hyraulic fluid, which is what the drop under the belly is...one drop that doesn't drip when I'm staring at it!

I haven't been able to hook up the brush hog, because the ground isn't level and the darned leveling arm crank doesn't work! Have a solution, but again need the rain to stop. How long will a tractor sit before the battery runs down?

Now I see a recently-serviced 1991 Yanmar 330 for sale w/loader, brush hog and box blade for only $3,000!
