Charlie - That picture is absolutely awesome! I knew you had a Lackender, but was having problems trying to visualize how it would look and work. How much time and trouble did that set up cost you?

Sincerely,

Rob /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

The hoe, with everything, cost just over $2,000.
Extenda Boomer $1,150.00
12" Bucket $290.00
Cylinder & hoses $225.00
Scraper $35.00
Thumb $120.00
Subtotal $1,820.00
Shipping $150.00
Total $1,970.00
Adapter plate $150
Although not really necessary, I installed a diverter valve so the curl is on the joystick instead of the aux pto. Hans has his with the stock setup. It was a little cheaper, I think.
PT sent the adapter to Lackender, who welded it on his standard skid steer mount plate. Some day, I'll cut the surplus plate off, to improve visibility. I don't know if Hans's had the big plate or the tube welded directly to the PT adapter plate.

Moss Road and Eric I think WroughtnHarvs link is on the Build it yourself forum or projects forum. It was hard for me to get used to the one on the mini skid but I had built one to go on the Quicktach of the WA250 Komatsu loader where I used to work at. It was handy for loadin the limestone boulders we dug up during trenching, I had used one of my Ford backhoes 18 inchbucket and had made a thumb for it. It saved walking an excavtor a mile. I didnt trench much with the big one, mostly to see if it would work.
I think WroughtnHarv makes his to sell to. Im aiming mine at the smaller local market here, Also I may build a weld together kit. Im a bit spoiled by my tracer torch for doin some of this work lol. My friend with the Ramrod loader had a spare plate to bolt his to but im a bigger fan of welding lol. Yall take care Taylor Lambert

I do have caps for the hose ends, just have not put them on (need to remove the quick attach).

Why do you need to remove the quick attach? I'm just talking about the little rubber boots that can be put into the hose ends on the hoses that go to the quick attach cylinder. That way, when you disconnect the quick attach cylinder to use the supply for the mini hoe, you stick the little rubber boots into the disconnected quick attach cylinder hoses so that no dirt gets in them while they are just hanging around. /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

Mine came with rubber boots for the main PTO hoses and I use them any time I don't have an implement plugged into them. But they are too large for the smaller aux PTO hoses that supply the quick attach cylinder.

The rubber rings that hold the cups are to tight to go over the fittings.

Paul:
Rather than take the quick attach fittings off, I just used a cable tie to hook the loop to the hose. It isn't as neat, but I'm reluctant to take apart any joint that isn't already leaking.

So far I have $0.10 per pound in my new maximinihoe. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif That may go up a bit when I add a quick attach plate, cylinder, and bucket etc.... /forums/images/graemlins/tongue.gif
