Shucks, fellas! On my little hilltop in Vermont there is my wife and I, and the two young women who rent the cottage up above us, five dogs, three cats, three sheep, thirty-odd chickens, and the occasional tourist. Did you really think I'd pass the chance to host some down-to-earth types interested in tractors!?!? /forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif /forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif

That was the most fun our mini-farm has had in ages! Let's do it again!

Pete

Thanks Dave! Glad you enjoyed them. /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

There's more to come if I can get the silly camera fixed! /forums/images/graemlins/crazy.gif I think I left off in the other thread just before we left Vermont headed for the coast. Got a few nice pics over there too! /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif

Absolutely Pete! Anytime, anywhere - if we can work it out, we'll be there!

Thanks again for letting us play with the dogs!! You know, I didn't even realize you had a cat until we were leaving. He (she?) was sitting on the step of the house under the breezeway, and I swear he waived at us as we drove by!/forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Pete:

We are equal in the dog department, but I have you beat in the cat department. I should say my wife....I have 2 cats, she has 40!!. No sheep and no chickens except in the roaster, but...we have the draft horses, 4 brood mares, 1 Standard Bred/Belgium cross, 1 Quarter horse (It's hard to keep 1/4 horse!!) and a Morgan.

I have a young lady and 2 kids that rent my place next door. I keep my mowing down, I just fence off everything but a little patch for pasture. Horses make good lawnmowers and they make fertilizer too!!

Hey Pete!

Geesh, I can't believe I forgot to mention this sooner.

I just wanted you to know that the day after "The Gathering", we were headed east and we stopped in Danville to get rid of some coffee and to get some more of that GREAT Green Mountain coffee. Well, lo and behold, what do I find where we're getting the coffee? CUP SLEEVES! /forums/images/graemlins/shocked.gif I actually found a store that had them. WOW!

I do need to say, though, that that was the only place I've ever found them.

Just thought you'd want to know that! /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif /forums/images/graemlins/smirk.gif /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Ok, I'll bite. What's a cup sleeve?

Long sleeves, short sleeves, green sleeves, etc

The cardboard sleeve that you slip over the outside of a cup of cofee that insulates your fingers from getting too hot. Places that do not use styrofoam cups, e.g., Starbucks, typically offer them. You gotta get out more, Jerry! /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif /forums/images/graemlins/tongue.gif /forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif

/forums/images/graemlins/confused.gifHmmmm.....

Jerry - Buddy,

You need to get out and get a life!

You know what a cup sleeve is - one of those things that you slide on a carryout cup of coffee to keep from burning your hand because of the hot coffee in the cup.

I hadn't seen any anywhere in Vermont while we were out there, so when we met with the gang I mentioned it to Pete.

See how he listened to me? The very next day he made sure that I was able to get one! What a guy!! /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

P.S. Jerry, what does this tell you?? Two different guys (who, by the way, really think very highly of you) tell you basically the exact same thing!

Lately my life consists of working all afternoon and evening and sleeping, so I get out about as often as Jerry, so here goes nothing...

Let me get this straight-- The coffee is hot, so you put a sleeve over the cup. This now covers the disclaimer printed on the styrofoam cup telling you that the coffee is hot. Since you can't read the disclaimer anymore that tells you the coffee is hot, you then burn your mouth... /forums/images/graemlins/shocked.gif

...the question is, when you burn your mouth from the hot coffee, do you sue the place you got your coffee, or the maker of the cup sleeve that covered the disclaimer on the cup? Or do the cup sleeves have disclaimers on them also?

The sleeves at Starbucks have the disclaimer on them. /forums/images/graemlins/blush.gif
